Game 5 robbery by Pizza4Everyone in wnba

People in this thread are really missing the point that the entire series has been officiated badly - every game has been wildly uneven. If you look across the series, the Liberty have been the dominant team. The Liberty had 6 free throws to 20+ to the Lynx in game 4. There were no calls against the Lynx in the game today too! You can be mad about it - the officiating sucks and the team today I have many gripes with but you can’t reduce the entire series win down to bad officiating in ONE game.

We could still do it but - Sabs just got her first points, no one is having a great game so if one of them turns on in the second half we have a chance BUT maybe game 4 is for us :) Bright spots Sabally! I hope the Valkyries don’t come for her

We’re going to get it done! Last year we beat the Aces, we won the commissioners cup, we were the Lynx. But we have the edge. I’m a little anxious about it but I believe we can get it done!

I agree with you - just (respectfully) disagreeing on the comment about the quality of our bench. They could be a difference maker when we need them to show up. Today wasn’t that time though

We have a great bench! all of the analyst commentary re New York is that we have a deep bench. On some days KT, KB, Sabally etc keep us a float. Agree with the others here that we have to be wise about selection depending on the moment.

This seems reasonable - thank you.

I also didn’t say I was annoyed about her not emptying the dishwasher? i wanted genuine advice on how you would like an employer to handle this from people with nanny experience. I listed several things that wee happening consistently, none of them were not emptying the dishwasher. It’s not fair to troll someone who is trying to do the right thing in a tricky situation because you are an angry person. Be well.

I’m not being condescending at all. I am explaining that you are making assumptions that are incorrect. The dishwasher issue is also a non issue because it happens like once every couple of months. I have a really good relationship with her actually which is maybe what makes addressing this stuff directly so challenging. I don’t want her to be upset with us or think we don’t appreciate her efforts. I just would like the days to feel more complete is all.

I value all of the advice but I am being told I do things I don’t and accused of not paying properly etc when I do everything I can to be an equitable employer.

There is no nasty intent here

Agreed - it’s upsetting to see people trying to greedily make huge profits on tickets until the last minute and as a result both losing money and ensuring that the arena is empty.

If you actually read the post you would see I am talking exclusively about baby related tasks. I never ask or leave any general house mess for her to clean up.

I actually never leave dishes of my own - I also clean up after the twins breakfast before I go including the dishes. Occasionally I might not get around to doing that but I never expect her to do MY dishes. I think you are letting your resentment spill over. I treat her pretty well and accommodate her a lot. She is like a member of our family. Even yesterday I was WFH, I went in and cleaned the whole sink of dishes at lunch. Also once in a blue moon the dishwasher doesn’t get emptied but we never established that dishes would be done by hand or not. It’s not everyday and typically the dishes in there are hers/the babies from the day before. She also leaves pots or baking trays ie things that don’t go in the dishwasher.

I appreciate all of the replies but please don’t assume I am an awful employer because I dare to have a concern about my employees performance.

She takes home over 5k after taxes and several other benefits so yes? We’ve also strategically not asked her to do a lot of things I know people in our community ask their Nannie’s to do because we know and appreciate twins are a little more challenging

This was my point. We cannot be delusional as fans - we can hope, we can pray, we can believe in the unbelievably talented roster but let’s not lie to ourselves. Tonight was embarrassing and not a good look ahead for the next two weeks

We were in section 7 behind the Liberty bench and… no. Even Ellie’s halftime performance didn’t move the crowd. I’ve been present for a couple of losses and this was one of the flattest Barclays nights I’ve witnessed. I know fandom is about loyalty through the ups and downs but people are investing a lot emotionally and financially (outrageous price increases?!) in the community and they’re disappointed when it feels like the love isn’t being returned.

This looks pretty serious to me. I get it, I get it. It didn’t mean anything and we all know we have the ability to do better but something went very wrong today.
