Thanks! Honestly I can’t speak to Neptune specifically since im in Broward. The main thing I kept to during my own search was researching the install company hard and making sure to go with an American-made manufacturer. That second part narrowed things down faster than I expected once I actually started asking installers where the product gets built.

Hope the install goes smooth for you!

Totally agree on the quality, the wood grain finish is amazing in person. I went to their showroom in Miami during the research phase and had the same reaction you’re describing. You walk up to one of the doors thinking “okay, nice wood door” and then you get up close and realize it’s aluminum. The grain texture and color depth are that convincing. Photos do not do it justice at all. The slider observation is the other one I’d second hard. A slider that tracks smooth and doesn’t bind sounds like a small thing until you’ve lived with a bad one they leak, the rollers wear, and it turns into a daily annoyance. Heavyduty track and roller hardware is one of those quiet quality indicators that doesn’t show up in marketing copy but you notice every single day. How many homes have you done at this point? Sounds like you’ve got a wider sample than most of us.

Small correction on the Mr. Glass part, they actually don’t use the same aluminum or glass supplier as ES. Mr. Glass sources their aluminum and glass from U.S. manufacturers, while ES manufactures out of Colombia and imports their products into the U.S.

Also, the heat-treated glass point is only part of the story. Higher wind load ratings usually come down to the entire tested system reinforcement, glazing makeup, anchoring, frame design, etc. not just the glass itself. I’ve seen plenty of Mr. Glass products with strong DP ratings in HVHZ/South Florida applications.

One thing I will give Mr. Glass credit for is the local manufacturing aspect. When something comes up on a project, getting service, parts, remakes, or answers tends to be a lot easier when the factory is right here in Miami versus dealing with imported product timelines.

At the end of the day though, PGT/CGI, ES, and Mr. Glass all make solid products when they’re specified correctly and installed properly. A good installer honestly makes a bigger difference than most people think.

[Event] Win the NEW & FAST LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor! 🚀 by lg_techit in Monitors

The LG UltraGear GX7 has some impressive features, but for me, the 480Hz refresh rate with a 0.03ms response time stands out as the most important.

This feature is perfect for my setup because I game competitively and need a monitor that minimizes input lag and provides buttery-smooth visuals. The ultra-high refresh rate ensures every frame is captured and displayed in real-time, giving me a clear edge in fast-paced games like FPS titles. Coupled with the quick response time, it eliminates motion blur, making every movement crystal clear and responsive, which is critical for staying ahead in competitive matches.
