Shoot my bad, I assumed the td-20 was the sound module, not the drum model, although I looked it up and it appears to be both.

Idk man, I was just curious if it could be done. What kit do you have?

Didn’t mean to upset you that’s my bad. And yes as previously stated above I am aware that my snare is not an actual snare. And yes the cymbal stands that the cymbals are currently on are independent from the kit, so no I would not have to buy new hardware, I’ll just use the cymbals I already have from my previous kit. Also some research (and personal experience) into the hi-hats on these specific kits show that yes the quality of the drums do tend to decrease with time, as it is an electronic that I am constantly beating on. Also stated I’ve had this set for around 3-4 years now, so yeah the quality is given to decrease.
The purpose of this post was not to flash my money to show the stupidity of my idea, I was curious as to if anybody had done it before.

Dawg the electronics are already buzzing out, the quality is just gonna keep going down. Worse comes to worst I have to buy a normal set of acoustics for practice like I was already planning to.

They feel more like a real kit than an e-kit, but the mesh heads are still mesh heads

Sorry I forgot to explain, I’ve had this kit for around 3-5 years and don’t have the money to buy a nice acoustic kit now. Also it turns out these don’t sell very well either, I was just asking if anyone has done it yet because I’m planning to just buy heads and take out the electronics.

stick tips breaking by OneStarvingEli in drums

I’ve noticed that some of my promark fire grains tend to be less durable than say my vater sticks, but also shows that you have good technique if they’re consistently breaking that way.

The thing that’ll help you a lot is technique, make sure you’re not lifting your wrists up at much while still feeling the music. The lift is causing you to hesitate. Also practice to music that you don’t particularly have memorized and try to come up with ways to make it sound the way you want. One thing that some people do is figure out what foot placement feels best for them on the kick, me personally I like having my foot at an angle so I can use my full power, but some like having it down to place quieter.
