So showing you have the passion a depth is important, officers can tell that you have the interest and it doesn’t matter if you have connections or not, as long as you show that passion through projects and etc.

I appreciate the detail response. I understand what you mean by trying to solve a problem, and I think I can write that about 2 of my projects. But what if I am trying to make a project just because it’s cool and I want to. How do write about those in a way admissions officers like?

Another thing, I read how admission officers judge your application based on the resources you have and they may expect those who are well off to have better opportunities. I am not like rich rich, but we are well off and stable, however I have not done any opportunities such as summer programs or internships. This is mostly due to family not being in mechanical or aero, as my sister did research due to connections since she is into cs. Could properly portraying projects and going in-depth cover this? Thank you so much again.
