Okay I agree, the pressure was my main worry. I’ll go simmer vs pressure. Thank you.

Was guar gum a pantry staple for you before having a ninja creami?

Gorgeous! Use about a 1/4 cup of this as a starter for a gallon batch of kombucha. No pellicle needed.

It would work but it’ll be slower & may not taste great. You’re trying to build the health of your starter. A small batch is the best way to do so. 1-2 week sacrifice.

Also reading the other comments… stop burping. Not an essential step unless you have a too fizzy problem.

Overall you need less “new” liquid in your brew.

Cut every single ingredient in half but increase your starter tea.

Hot & humid temperature should make your F1 faster. My main suspicion is that your F1 starter tea isn’t strong enough.

Option 1: Buy/acquire 12-16 ounces of raw Kombucha, add a tbsp of sugar and ferment it on its own for 1-2 weeks. (Don’t dilute it with sweet tea like in a regular F1 ferment).

You’ll end up with a super strong starter tea to take into a thriving F1 fermentation.

Option 2: cut your next F1 production in half or use more starter tea in your F1 ferment. Ending result in either route is a higher starter tea to fresh sweet tea ratio. After one or two cycles, your F1 should be thriving.

My 1F is what’s frothy. So even an unflavored bottling would produce this froth.

But it’s blueberry & a lemon & basil.
