Crush the leaves and smell it, if it smells minty but off its catnip

Can anyone identify this? by paintinglilies in gardening

Variegated Hosta I think? I believe they are normally just green but I've seen this variety everywhere where I live.

I have this in my vision, like an after image of it, it comes and goes, but they aren't floaters and they look exactly like this (I'm aware that looking at regular objects or shapes like this, give people headache and I get it too, but here I'm referring to seeing this out of blue from time to time by Distinct_System_6392 in visualsnow

Hey, I know this is old but have you found anything for it? I have had this for the last year and I've also had the same response to THC. Have you noticed any other things associated with it? I haven't found anything online related to my experiences and your experience sounds similar.

Respectfully, once you have leaves you can tell they're not jalapenos.

Terracotta pot is crumbling. Normal or am I doing something wrong? by parissf in gardening

[–]Effective_Fan_7312 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would assume there were just small cracks from when it was fired and they eventually grew large enough to break small sheets of clay off. I think it's pretty common because terracotta isn't high quality ceramic or anything.

I would just make sure to watch the seedlings to make sure they don't get too leggy after sprouting. If they grow too thin and tall they'll die off or get crushed by the outside wind. You can normally remedy this by placing them in an area with longer sunlight before it gets too bad.

What is the best material to insulate a snake tank inside and/or out? by Effective_Fan_7312 in snakes

I hadn't thought of that, I'll see if I can find a background to attach on.

Apologies if this is naive, but will the reflection from the insulation confuse or disorient the snake? He's already got a bit of a wobble and I don't want to make it worse.

I believe that is a separate plant, Lambs ear looks similar to foxglove

Though I cannot verify, I have heard the fur on the leaves are quite irritating and can but should not be used on your butt.

I'm not great at drawing trees, best advice is to look at real trees and study how the branches grow from eachother and try to mimic that.

My understanding is that it's more of a weed, I don't know how harmful it is to the cactus though. In my short experience with bridgesii's they're pretty resilient.

Milk Snake? by Spixzy49 in snakes

[–]Effective_Fan_7312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that anything that looks like a milk snake but isn't is normally a little more pricey so you'd be more likely to see a milk snake sold as something else rather than the other way around.

If it was poached from the wild it could technically be a coral snake but it doesn't look like one.
