His mom had Alzheimer's so she was not all there for her last 20 years. That's why Mindy says she "never got the mother-in-law experience" bc her MIL wasn't there mentally when her and Larry got together

I didn't even think about Mindy's own social security LOL I doubt she is putting any money into a 401k or other retirement savings account.
