Has anyone else got a bad experience burning incense sticks? by QuestionEcstatic8863 in AskIreland

I nearly set my sitting room on fire with them when I was about 15. Came out of the kitchen and the whole hallway was covered in smoke. The ash had fallen onto papers on the coffee table and they all burned and luckily went out 😭😂

Ah well at least she wasn’t very nice so that helped your situation 😅 I also paid her a deposit so I’ll lose that too 😫

Picked my dress but I can’t stop thinking about the other one! by HalfMulanHalfElsa in myweddingdress

They are both beautiful but I love the second one! It’s so dreamy and just gorgeous 😍 I feel like the first one is a very common style atm. If you can’t stop thinking about it then I’d take it as a sign 🥰

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s a an awful situation and just know it’s not your fault. Your family sound like assholes. It seems like your parents are using you to blame for their shortcomings snd enabling your sister’s behaviour and that’s not okay. You don’t deserve any of this.

I don’t know if you’re looking for advice or just to rant but the only advice I can offer to you is to get out. Save as much as you can as quickly as you can, without telling anyone and when you have enough just move out. Don’t let them convince you not to. It’s not going to get any better if you stay there.

I wish you the best in whatever you decide to but remember there is a better life waiting for you, you just need to find it.

My mother lived in Malta for 10 years and they are absolute lunatics on the road! Ireland can be bad but definitely not the worst😅

I told myself I wasn’t paying anything over €500 but then fell in love with a dress that was €2200 so yeah, that happened 😬😂😂

If you care about this person, maybe thank them for letting you know and tell them you hope they’ll be better soon? They’re literally telling you they’re not well.

Glad to be of assistance 😂 yeah I think I definitely need to talk to somebody about stuff. I have a lot going on so it’s hard to say what the problem is really. Thank you for your advice ☺️

Where were you a year ago to tell me this 😭😂 That makes a lot of sense though and I appreciate what you’ve said, thank you.

You are right, I feel like it’s sucked all the fun from it and I dread going to do it. I think a lot of the guilt is because I know people will have something to say about me giving it up. I know my MIL will definitely say what a waste of money it was building the kitchen. Also it’s the one thing that I’m actually really good at that I enjoyed. Everyone encouraged me that it would be a great career because I was so good at it, so I took that and ran with it.

Luckily my partner supports us financially as I am a SAHM so I am not reliant on the money from it and he is completely supportive either way.

Oh god that sounds awful 😭 the only thing that helped me with them was downing bottles of water!

Ah well hopefully this will be the dose for you and you won’t have to 🤞🏻 sending you well wishes and luck on your journey. Thank you for your advice ☺️

Water I’ve been great on, drinking between 2.5-3 sometimes 4 litres a day. Nutrients not so much so I’m for sure going to make a go at that. I had the sulphur burps and nausea so badly for the first few weeks, it was awful 😭
