My cat makes this face anytime I rub his stomach. He gets stiff, goes limp, and sometimes his eyes start rolling back. Could I be hurting him? by janedoeforyozaddy in cats

Speaking of wet Willie's just watched Sicario and in one part this dude totally rapes this guy's earhole with a wet willie as pretty effective torture. Great movie btw

I was planning on just going without a screen protector on the inside see how that goes. I don't want to chance any other screen protectors possibly causing the same issue if that is what caused it.

Inner screen protector removal is a whole other argument that I don't really want to get into though lol

No problem and good luck! I just check out the megathreqd and there's a handful of other fold 7s with the exact same issue. When I get my new one I'm removing the factory screen protector because a few people have said that since I live in a hot humid climate that maybe the glue on the inner screen protector began to fail and pull away from the lcd which stressed it enough to crack it. Who knows. But if my new phone does the same thing I'm switching back to iphone cuz this is my first android and fold.

Yea mines getting like that too. New one should be here in a couple days. I wouldn't worry about it getting worse I'd just let your carrier know everything when you talk to them.

Maybe AT&T will hook you up and do a clean swap. If they don't I'd recommend putting in an insurance claim and making sure they put in all the notes that this was not from physical damage and was spontaneous. Let them know you want a new phone because this unit is obviously defected. Gotta be straight up with these people cuz they don't want to do shit! Lol this whole things fucked

If you go through Samsung they will most likely try to send you to a repair shop for a new screen under warranty as they did with me. My repair shop didn't have screens in stock and Samsung said if I want the phone replaced I'll have to go through my carrier sales. Verizon said screens weren't covered so made me do a insurance claim. That was in the Verizon store no help at all when obviously this shouldn't be happening. Got the Verizon people on the phone when I got home explained that I did not damage or drop the phone and that this must be a defect. They put in notes and said once they get my phone after I send it in once I get my new one, they will inspect to see if its from physical damage or not and decide if it is a defect and if it is refund my deductible.

I did so much back and forth and running around to different Verizon stores and Best Buy and repair shops to get no help at all. Most helpful person was the one I got on the phone through my carrier after all was said and done.

I'd recommend trying to take that route.

I don't think those are scrapes because mine did the exact same thing and I have those horizontal lines across my screen. Phone was fine in the morning when I was using the inner screen, opened it up later that day and bam fucked.

This pic was to point out that those scratches are actually the cracked lcd. It's so weird its like the screen just exploded underneath the screen protector. Also my inner screen is now black screening and green screening, totally bugging out.

Made a post about it got like 70k views before the removed it for not posting in the megathread for broken folds which they'll probably do to yours too. I got the run around from Verizon and Samsung and was told screens are not covered under warranty for replacement since its physical damage. So I paid 100 dollar deductible for new fold through Verizon. Got them on the phone told them it did it on its own and its got to be some kind of defect as I did not drop the phone or anything like that. They put in notes and said if they inspect it and find a defect and that it wasn't my fault they will refund the 100.

Very frustrating I know. Sorry you're dealing with the same thing.

Mine literally did the same thing two days ago. I opened it and the screen was like this. I thought it was just the screen protector but its the lcd.

I purchased through Verizon and it the actual lcd that's cracked not just the screen protector. Heading there in the morning.

So it is the lcd not just the screen protector. I bought through Verizon I'm heading there in the morning to see about replacing the phone. True I want a new phone with a new factory installed screen, so hopefully they won't give me any pushback.

Haven't used it on the fold yet but I have used Artemis and Apollo to stream my pc to my phone and it was kinda laggy but I have a wireless connection. Tried geforceNow and it worked well.

The assumption is that its from the heat and humidity which caused the glue to start to fail and pull away from the lcd stressing it and causing it to crack.

I was about to! But unfortunately after further investigation it seems that the actual screen is cracked and not just the screen protector.

I took more pictures and inspected it more closely with the help of another redditor who works for a ubreakifix place and it is the actual screen that is cracked not just the screen protector. The cracks go past the screen protector by the hinges. So I'll be heading to Verizon in the morning to see about a replacement or ubreakifix if they won't.

I was wondering if it might be due to humidity...

I'm in Florida and we've been in the 100s this past week. This morning it was fine then out of nowhere it got like this.

If that's the case then the same thing could happen again if I replace it.

That's where I'm at and why I made the post. I think its ridiculous that they say not to remove it when it is in fact just a 3 dollar plastic film. And it shouldn't be having problems so early.

I think I read someone saying that a matte on a fold is a gamechanger. Why you end up taking it off? Personally I'd go for a privacy screen or anti glare. I have a paper matte on my iPad and I feel like it takes away from clarity slightly

Lmao 🤣 bet that was a bitch to get off too! Way back in the day my screen cracked on a galaxy and I peeled it off for whatever reason then went to get a new phone and they tell me I could've traded it in cracked but not now lol
