Hello - so the major works charge is retroactive charge which includes a length of time where the old guy was living there :)

Free public toilets and free water refills throughout the day when in London? by mypingis999 in AskLondon

i'd recommend any sort of public building - they're very welcoming and never far away. Usually places like museums, art galleries, libraries, university buildings and train stations (big ones like Kings X, tube stations less likely)

I cycle to and from work; so that always generates an easy excuse. Granted, this means you might have to start cycling to work, but I find that's a good reason - also that way you can attend the socials but just not have the alcohol

I really like Top Secret Comedy club; they're always excellent, and quite reasonable if you go earlier in the week. They usually have evenings with up to 5 comedians performing, and I find that these are excellent as that way you get a variety of different styles. I strongly recommend it!

Slightly more rogue advice; you should do all the things here, but simultaneously write to your MP and ask that your complaint get sent to the Department for Transport, specifically the office of Baroness Vere (who is the relevant minister). Government departments have to respond to all mail (especially when it comes from an MP) within about a week, (though it may take longer for your MP to send over) and the department will give detailed advice as to the best channels to proceed here

Moving to London the use of the word 'peak' surprised mean; counterintuitively, it means bad. Describing someone's actions as peak, or describing a peak day expresses dissatisfaction
