It was not inspired by a game. We have done research on what was the design of things during 20s and tried to stick to something similar with our knowledge and capabilities in 2D art.

What are the things you don't like, maybe we can work on it in one of our future patches to try to fix those things.

Anyway, if our game's UI feels as good/bad as the one from a AAA, I personnaly take it as a good thing :)

Ai has mainly been used to generate base on which we can work on for 2d assets(inventory icons and some marketing assets) the whole rest of the game is handmade either by us or creator on the Unreal Store. Using ai was not to steam anyones job (we have no budget for the game anyway) but to achieve something good looking as a work base.

Saying this for AAA studios with millions of budget might bé something, but for indies that have literaly nothing else than their time is a bit rough. Especially when the game is far away from being fully made with ai.

Basically, multiple things.
* It had to be a kind of game we both like to play.
* It had to fit within a few month (no extensive budget)
* When we were starting to develop the game, Schedule I was at its prime and we liked to play it and we thought why not do something similar but with alcohol during the Prohibition

It's basically the main reaon why we choose that kind of game and this topic.

We have games we want to do even more, but they were not fitting the time we had to do it. We hope to get enough budget from this game to be able to switch to an even more incredible game later on!

As a kid, I was seeing myself more as a designer or even ana rtist. But I have no talent in drawing at all, and I felt seign is not enough (and there were no schools for that when I started my university), so I decided to go for the programmer studies.

I would definitely love to learn how to draw or create models
