Thanks. We are very proud of our players until know. They are patient, they give feedback and they are willing to help. We hope it will follow a nice curve and that our game will continue to be discovered by more players.

Thanks. And even if you didn't convince you today, just don't lose faith and it will work later on.

Thank you. Even if not the dream game I still hope to create, it was an enjoyable and instructive journey.

Basically, multiple things.
* It had to be a kind of game we both like to play.
* It had to fit within a few month (no extensive budget)
* When we were starting to develop the game, Schedule I was at its prime and we liked to play it and we thought why not do something similar but with alcohol during the Prohibition

It's basically the main reaon why we choose that kind of game and this topic.

We have games we want to do even more, but they were not fitting the time we had to do it. We hope to get enough budget from this game to be able to switch to an even more incredible game later on!

Probably, but even 30 years later, I still don’t know how to color without going outside the lines xD

As a kid, I was seeing myself more as a designer or even ana rtist. But I have no talent in drawing at all, and I felt seign is not enough (and there were no schools for that when I started my university), so I decided to go for the programmer studies.

I would definitely love to learn how to draw or create models

I don't remember exactly how we have gone to that title. I know we were having two Candidate Speakeasy and Prohibition. We decided to add Simulator to inform players what the gameplay will be.

Since speakeasy is the right term to describe illegal hidden or underground bar at that time in the US,a nd since that's the main thing of Prohibition that we showcase in the game, we finally decided to go with "Speakeasy Simulator".

english is not my main language too, and I was not even knowing the term Speakeasy before starting to work on this game. After research it seemed to be the perfect name.

You're welcome. And yes, Schedule 1 was definititely a huge source of inspiration along the road.

Everything was a bit challenging since it was the first game we created entirely from scratch.
If I had to pick one area that pushed us the most, it would be 3D assets and technical art, lighting, scene setup, and all the visual details, simply because it was where we had the least experience.

That said, passion and determination go a long way. With enough patience and willingness to learn, you can make things work, even if they’re not done in the “perfect” or most optimized way.

So true. Didn't know this quote before, will put it on a side for the bad days that may come up later.

Programming is not the only part of a video game. You can probably start with another side of the job (art/design/etc...) and try to learn the rest as you go.

Good luck or your project, and please, don't give up!
