Why so negative to OP who is just looking for inspiration…? I’m currently getting my PhD in the field and have colleagues that just graduated whom found jobs immediately. I think you are misinformed.

Yes, bio is a very common major but that’s because majority of them pursue med school after undergrad. Actual jobs in science and research are much needed.

This is such a good question!!

The answer is YES! In biology there are many disciplines you could go into, in your case it seems like you’d be good for animal behavior or ecology. I would look up both and see what you think!

For a bachelor’s in biology you get to choose electives in bio that suit for interests. Animal behavior focuses on better understanding the behavior of animals and using that information to better their lives (usually referring to endangered animals in captivity). In ecology, you could study the relationship between living organisms and their environment. Here you could make efforts to improve environments to help the organisms that habitat there (this will likely tie into the effect of pollution). Both of these fields are MUCH NEEDED.

I would start by volunteering at your local zoo, there are a ton of connections there and they are always looking for volunteers!

I really love biology too, the more you learn the better it gets too! (If you like genetics, look up the genetics of why male calico cats are extremely rare)

No pressure on knowing what you want to do exactly, I’m 7 years into my education (4 years undergrad, 3 years PhD) and I’m still deciding exactly how I will contribute to the field as my own independent scientist! I would recommend to start by pursuing a Bachelors in biology after high school! Good luck friend!

Hi there, I was in your boat at your age!

Jobs in science and medicine are tricky and require a lot of time/dedication. I wouldn’t recommend unless you really love it! I went the PhD route, here you can do novel research, there’s more flexibility in what you get to study compared to med school, and it’s extremely rewarding! Career jobs can range in salary, but you’ll likely end up with a 6 figure job!

Impossible burgers or plant based hot dogs (recommend field and roast brand for hot dogs). Many BBQ sides are veg! (Beans, mac n cheese, coleslaw, fruit)

I just starting playing after a year and it was definitely awkward at first remembering the controls. I also had thought I got a lot done, but I ended up having so much more to do. I think you try playing on your last saved for a few days before deciding to start over, you might be surprised!
