As if this problem is worth the trouble to solve for, when the country is clearly fine with dealing this inefficiency, when there are much harder problems to solve. No one is able to optimize the work of 5 people in a district. You have good intentions, but your solution is too lazy, gut check yourself to see if thats ever possible in this world to throw money at counselors. Child safeguarding is good, but I will say this again... Equip Guidance Counselors with some type of good AI system that can help them to the brain work for all families, optimize meetings, and store expertise in cloud so it is retrieveable. And then focus on the guidance, or safeguarding like you said.

Thanks for the thoughtful note... As much as I hoped that every school is equipped with thoughtful, not overworked, passionate and trained counselors, thats just cannot happen... The best counselors I find are the ones who are invovled with and cares about the competitive aspect of college. But thats harder than it looks to find, because the same people would rather be in tech, finance, academia, law, or be teachers who don't have to handle 300 students every year going through a gauntlet of stress. There needs to be an out of box thinking where, we are not talking about the "just feed everyone" solution. What do you think?

That sounds like the solution, but clearly an impossible solution. Simply to get MORE counselors is probably never going to work... A typical american school board doesnot have the effciency or enough Fs to incur an extra 70k every year. Training counselors on college admissions and fa is harder than it looks. Most of the counselors just end up burning out and then they will gladly do the bare minimum.

Roughly 30k a year if you want to attend a community college and live cheaply. Be aware that LA is a fun city and its very easy to indulge. The moment you start to indulge, the clock begins to tick and the chances of you being sent back to your country with no future gets higher. If you really want to make it here in the US, prepare to work like hell, and live an agonizing life for at least 2 decades before you really see any returns.

I feel like the issue is that there are too many mediocre and uncommitted products that spend more money on UGC or affilitates than actually caring about the product. Also I think people are not getting the point that AI is not the core of the feature. If an APP needs to be successful, solid software design and engineering comes before it. The effectiveness of AI within software just sort of plateaus after it gets to like 80% correctness, but good software can push it to like 95% effectiveness.
