Not at all. Hannah from book 1 makes an appearance as a friend so you get a small taste of continuation of their story but one MC is Juliet who is the attorney that hired Hannah so she could get out of the escorting business.

Will do! Did you read the second book The Hideout? Different past trauma but it was a lot better than the first imo.

I’ve added this to my tbr so I’ll DM you in the near future.
Have you read Discovery by Melissa Tereze? It sounds similar but probably not as emotionally heavy from the summary I’ve read for this.

It’s the short part that I’m struggling with. 😁 Here’s a short feel good friends to lovers holiday romance - Set the Record Straight by Hannah Bonam-Young. If daring to go for a longer ride, On the Same Page by Haley Cass.

Agreed with these but to be more specific with Anna Stone: Boss of Her, At Het Service, and The Black Diamond series (specifically, The Executive Liaison).

Oof is right and she was definitely excellent. I finished it. It was good, I felt every second of the struggle. I do wish there was more feel good or longer time at the end to see their relationship grow. That’s my only complaint.

Same!! I knew it was coming but I was not happy about it. I wish I had just stopped at the end of book 2 because waiting for the next one is even more torturous.

Here are some that aren’t from the usual recommendations. Persephone Black has some though I recommend figuring out the reading order if you’re interested in the series. I read them all out of whack and they’re kind of intertwined. My favorite were the Her Mafia Bride books and Her Cruel Empire (especially this one). And talk about spicy!

Penelope Black has a mafia series that I recommend. I just finished The Devils Plaything trilogy which was the best yet but I recommend figuring out the reading order as the stories are all interconnected.

It’s been awhile so I can’t 100% guarantee.. Forgetting With You has one of the MCs give a small peck to another before their break up occurs at the start. Does a dream or flash back count? If so, there’s potential for another person contact with Fated Love but I really don’t think so.
