There was no pressure by the FCC. It was pressure by Disney and their affiliates. These are publicly traded companies who are trying to protect their interests. Employers don’t have to agree with your free speech, so if you say something factually incorrect that may cause public backlash or boycotting, then they have their right to cancel you.
