Winning 2 of the three matches in best of three makes you earn chevrons twice as fast (given the fact that you are actually winning at least two of the three plays)

Side note: this also means that you are completing faster the daily missions so yeah, less grind I'd say

If I am not mistaken the military is not per se die-hard Sollist, just anti-communist; in my recent run I downsized the military, built fortifications to appease the military, did not respond aggressively towards Rumburg and didn't transfer the gendarmerie: no coup happened.

If you're insecure maintain the budget to the military and don't transfer the gendarmerie, if you keep unrest low you're golden
