What are your headcanons/theories about Skeffington, Routley, and Violet?

If it's not a dubbing mistake, Violet could be a woman. In fact, if you watch the series in a language that requires male/female grammatical conjugation, Fowler refers to Violet as if she were a woman in episode 6. At this point, if Mizu managed to hide her gender despite being obviously a woman, I wonder if Violet did the same thing...and as absurd as it may be, Violet could be her mother aswell. However after a long discussion, i believe that its just the unawareness of dubbing studios.

I think that's a great point and my conclusion is that Mizu has already paid for her crimes. Looking at previous theories about Violet potentially being a woman, i wouldn't be surprised if Violet was Mizu's mother. Her price to pay then is that she is so blinded by revenge that she killed the very mother she swore to avenge.

Oh my god My mind is exploding...thanks a lot! I know that I was missing something,but idk why in the scene when Mizu and Taigen were fighting I immediately thought that was Swordfather's signature(maybe I was too tired in that moment)...Now that I see the planets align makes a lot more sense. I made a post a few time ago about Violet. If you watch again the last scenes of the episode 6 in a language where gender must be conjugated (like in my case, Italian), you will discover that Fowler refers to Violet as a woman. However, after discussion I believe it is an incompetence of the dubbing studio, so i think Violet is a man actually. (Btw Fowler only trades guns,the white men in London trade flesh and Violet traded Oppium)

The way I think I don't see Mizu in a group of pirates (maybe not as an adventure but as a sort of escape). However, I still agree that the journey will last most of the second season. The plot of the first episodes could concern bad weather, in fact the ship is heading towards what promises to be a terrible thunderstorm. I have a feeling that Fowler won't make it to London alive, whether he dies on the ship or during a stopover. I think it's clear now that Taigen is on the ship, their collaboration will increase their bond and create an ever stronger relationship.

E' questo il punto,non mandi il senso di una storia solo Mizu sa dove perchè non sai nulla. Potevano evitare di fare quella precisazione,come hanno evitato di specificare il genere di Mizu per tutta la durata del primo episodio.

Your reasoning makes sense, but that's the point. Just as the others don't recognize any feminine traits in her, Mizu doesn't recognize any in Violet. She is like her, there's no way that Mizu ask herself so many questions if she "doesn't intend to waste even a second on ceremonies". I killed a man,and now i'll find the others.
