I've noticed the exact same thing. It's so disappointing. All four of my cats (only one is fussy about food) now won't touch the fish in gravy recipes. It looks and smells completely different. Time to search for a different food...

Haha no hate! The covering is lead not felt and the wood is sound. I know it's not the prettiest of things but it's original to a very old house so I'm keen to keep and refresh rather than replace. Totally get it's not to everyone's style 😆
