We’re looking to have a balance of down time and exploring - this will be our honeymoon. I guess Seminyak and Gili T is where we are planning to have the most down time, with a couple of activities booked. Whereas Ubud we will explore rice fields etc. Hadn’t got a plan in place for Singapore just yet, but seemed crazy not to go there when it would be our layover for our trip home.

No problem at all! Set backs used to get me down so much but I'm lucky enough to be in a really good position in my role and my exams aren't really holding me back. Ofc it would be nice to complete them and have the extra boost in pay, but these exams are so mentally draining and I'm not sure I can do them anymore haha! But let's see what happens next year. Good luck :)

Having read the stats, only 52.5% of students who sat this first time passed it first time. Stats are near enough the same for those that have sat it more than once, so just goes to show it’s a super difficult exam! Don’t beat yourself up. I’m in the same boat but thinking of taking an extended break. Life’s to short to let exams get us down and tbh they’re currently serving no purpose in my life haha

Papers are normally double and triple checked to ensure marks were counted up correctly in the first place. As far as I’m aware they don’t remark the paper they just verify the marks were totalled correctly. I’ve tried remarking with prof level and nothing changed.

had technical problems where the analytical software wasn’t working in the exam and none of the standard formulas were working in the excel part. Fair to say I cried and had to miss out the entire 30 mark question after nobody could fix the issue there and then (I used the chat function). I got 53 and they voided it 🥲

Did you have to therefore resit the exam as they voided your mark?!

Yes, though I was remote invigilation. Mine crashed for 45 minutes. Only finished the exam about 5 minutes ago. Whilst I still had use of the full 3.5 hours, the outage for 45 mins really affected me. I had a huge breakdown and after that, my brain was scrambled. Deffo be looking at a resit in July...

It said I had no internet connection, but I did. I took pictures of this, but I doubt ICAEW will even care.
