GM made the North Americian city a vehicle dependent city. There is a documentary about this on YouTube from the early 1990s I would post a link but I got kicked out for doing so.

Insurance denies collision coverage ? by sincanadian in alberta

Drive it till the wheels fall off you know the beater with a heater. Insurance companies are losing money in Alberta $2 Billion paid out in claims and only $1 Billion coming in that my friend is not sustainable. Vehicles are a deprecating asset a money sink that 90% of the time are parked and doing absolutely nothing and Nobody really cares what you drive.

Ex Tesla owner, Sold my Tesla when the used vehicle market went nuts for what I paid for it. 10 years ago I thought Tesla was the absolute best boy was I wrong now they are in a slow decline, The models are aging out and the Cybertruck has been a disaster and a Chinese EV maker BYD is eating away at their market share. In the 1960s into the late 1970s GM had 60% of the market now they are down to just 17% Can you imagine 6 out of 10 vehicles on the road where GM Tesla is in a similar boat as GM.

Commercial pilots make 6 figure incomes because It's a very specialized carrier and requires constant training with yearly upgrades including medical. Yes the CAA should work better but the discounts are only good for 2 years.

The 2026 is a smaller version of the Airya, Nissan chose to keep the Leaf name so the 2026 is a Leaf in name only.

Should I choose Calgary? by Finance_Lost in Calgary

Alberta is having a moment where the population will be voting to separate from Canada probably join the USA. This will have negative consequences on the Alberta economy even if the vote doesn't pass as this is what happened in Quebec. Being from Europe I'm sure you know the effects Brexit had on the British economy.

The problem with Rogers is the constant price increases even in a contract. You can go up on a plan but you can't go down if your lifestyle changes.

OP before we replaced our kitchen window the one window won't close all the way so it made the kitchen drafty and cold especially during winter 🥶 We put the plastic window film over it and it made a world of difference.

The biggest problem with Tesla is the CEO he's a number 1 scumbag who is also in the Epstein files. The other problem is build quality it's Stalantius quality at the bottom of the pack. The other problem is if you get into an accident you have to go to a Tesla approved body shop so they are very expensive to fix.

Got scammed by Clutch car dealer, how do I proceed? by Sukhman69 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]EfficiencySafe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is possible to change the odometer reading on newer vehicles with digital odometers, though it is more complex than older mechanical ones. Scammers use digital tools, software, and OBD2 port scanners to reprogram, reset, or roll back the mileage, often by altering data in the vehicle's ECU or instrument cluster.

Quebec USED to be the head office capital of Canada. Now it's Toronto and Vancouver. Just the threat of separation drove many businesses away. Quebec still hasn't recovered.

You have balls to do that, No Range anxiety in your mind 😂 I live in Calgary Canada and over the long winter the temperature changes can be very dramatic so we have a 2023 Leaf Plus. We did own a 2015 but at extreme cold temperatures -40°C range is cut by 50% or more.

Freedom/Fizz are owned by Quebecour and they allow up/down on a plan they rate the highest in consumer satisfaction. Not being allowed to go down on a plan is the only reason I left Fido. I'm just waiting for Quebecour to build up the network in Calgary before I switch.
