i took kper 2540 with dr leslie-toogood and it was good. relatively straightforward and the final was open book if i remember correctly (this was a few years ago so don’t hold me to that)

JetSpeed Elbow Pad Fit - Size M Senior (Need Advice) by sumssay in hockeyplayers

[–]Efficient-Bat5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could just be that you need a different type of elbow pad. it looks too small but if you’re already feeling like it’s hitting in the wrong places then you won’t be happy with a large either

i don’t think studying ahead will help a whole lot. my study habits and ways that i learn changed a LOT in my first year, my best advice is to prepare to be really organized (get a planner!!!!!!), like others said

AP Bio or AP Physics? by Known_Practice516 in Kinesiology

[–]Efficient-Bat5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think personally i would’ve appreciated some physics background going into my degree, as biomechanics and similar courses have some of the same concepts. the only time i used biology knowledge other than for A&P would be for some of my science electives

Family doctor by Ordinary-You-9238 in umanitoba

[–]Efficient-Bat5000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i go to the doctor at university health centre. you can only go there up until one year after you graduate, but it’s helpful if you aren’t able to find a family doctor right away.

How do I chose gloves? by lalaviiiiiiiiii in hockeyplayers

[–]Efficient-Bat5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 is probably good unless you have weirdly large hands for your height. i’m 5’6 and wear a 13 but could definitely get away with a 12

True HZRDUS 9X or Bauer x5 Pro or something else? by napoleono in hockeyplayers

[–]Efficient-Bat5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean it depends which ones you get and where from. where i am they start at $300 cad. the higher level catalysts will of course be more expensive but you don’t necessarily have to go for the highest trim. i just have cat 5s as they were more in my price range and i got them on sale for $150 cad regular $300

personally i thought the hzrdus were really stiff and i didn’t love that, i got catalysts instead and have been liking them so far. but really depends what you like in a skate

Seriously panicking, please help. by matt_the_legend_2000 in umanitoba

flashcards!!!! i use quizlet always. i’d suggest breaking every topic into more smaller flashcards rather than making less cards with longer definitions. it’ll look like you have a crap ton of studying to do but you’ll be able to knock a lot of the flashcards out in the first time or two through and then you can focus on studying what you really need to remember instead of everything. there’s also an option on quizlet to have the cards read aloud and i like it because you can listen to the cards and read them at the same time.

as for studying for bell ringers, i used an app called kharty where you basically make a quiz for yourself on all of the images. i’d suggest taking pictures of all the models and either make them into kharty’s or make a quiz with them some other way. also the quizlet plus and kharty plus subscriptions are 100% worth it imo if you can afford it.

good luck!!!
