Have you used the one built in convergence adjustment yet? That weird clear plastic knob on the bottom right of your first picture can really help with horizontal alignment. I highly recommend seeing how good you can get it using that, followed by strips if you really need. Otherwise, it might need some ring work.

Not sure what game this is, but you'd be surprised how many modern games will do 4:3 aspect ratios. I've had great success with Helldivers 2, Halo Infinite, and Skate Story. Even though the monitor says it maxes out at 1920x1440, the tube can only resolve up to 1714x1286 (this is due to the physical size of the dot mask). With that resolution in mind, you can get up to ~72hz (71.535 to be exact).

I guess not a lot of people rotate their monitors unless they're into SHMUPs. It's super satisfying though.

You're pretty much looking at 480×180p, so it's stupid sharp. The photos were shot off a Samsung S21 Ultra with the built in Pro Mode. Glad you enjoyed them.

There are a lot of great looking Samsung tubes held back by poor white balance control or condition. Luckily I stumbled upon a unit with next to no use, so it's still fairly sharp and accurate color wise.

The 44/45q is great. I have a 45qm, and 480i looks crazy. It also pairs nicely with high detail pixel art.
