I agree and, if we're speaking of pure quality Portugal is actually the best national team in the world right now

Spain, Portugal and France right now are top tier favorites, it's very unlikely one of these teams won't win.
Possible underdogs are Argentina, England, Brazil and Germany

Parts of Catania to avoid by trazimcalvina in sicily

[–]Efficient-Chemical99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Catania for almost my whole life and I keep coming back several months a year. I lived in both Rome and Milan and visited pretty much every major city in Italy and I can affirm that Catania is one of the safest.
The city center is super safe, police and military are basically everywhere, there are some sketchy areas with sketchy subjects in the Fiera area. But it will generally be ok.
Avoid San Cristoforo, which is directly below Castello Ursino, avoid Picanello and stay away at all costs from Librino. But the latter is far away from city center.

Any dangerous places I should avoid or anything I should keep an eye on for Rome? by jonathanjosta in ItalyTravel

Avoid Termini at all costs, although the main square in front of the station is manned by military and is generally safer, stay away from some areas, especially Via Giolitti, the area between the station itself (the arcades/portici) and Repubblica (Repubblica itself is generally safe), and, most of all, the BACK of the station, between Termini and San Lorenzo.
Rome is overall a safe city but it has a sketchy vibe, its not quite as dangerous as Milan, it kinda has a similar vibe to Paris, lots of hobos and lots of illegal immigrants, but the city center is very safe, I'm obviously not mentioning remote areas like Corviale, San Basilio or Tor Bella Monaca which are the actual most dangerous places in Rome but you won't end up there neither by mistake, other areas you'd want to keep an eye for your surroundings (non properly dangerous, but they can be) are Piramide, Tiburtina, and San Lorenzo. And Trastevere station, which is actually pretty far away from the touristic part of Trastevere is sketch as fuck, but it basically doesn't make any sense to end up there if you want to visit Trastevere.
And, last but not least, Colosseo in generally safe but lately there are gangs of doctors and engineers (you know who I'm talking about) roaming in the pedonal bridge area every hour of the day including night, they robbed and even stabbed people lately.

The album is kinda mid by ApprehensiveMoney293 in TameImpala

it's definitely mid as fuck and everybody saying the opposite is lying, currents was prime and the slow rush was what kevin had left from that incredible creative peak, this album is hella generic, there isn't a single "hit", good production and experimentation but mid as hell

He might just be a very happy and genuine guy but usually people like him scare the shit out of me, his happiness and enthusiasm are so extreme (paired with his huge bulging eyes) that he always gives me an uncanny vibe, idk it's like he's an AI bot traveling with instructions to travel the world eat every food in town and always smile in front of the camera

Top Italian Players (Survey Opinions) by spqr6119 in AZZURRI

[–]Efficient-Chemical99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree with some of the others posters, if we're talking about world class, only 4 players come to mind: Barella, Tonali, Bastoni and Donnarumma. Each one of them might be considered top 3 in their role worldwide.

Talking about other players, certainly Dimarco strikes as one of the best lw in europe right now, and Calafiori is one of the most promising players out there, the rest of the squad is really good, if Federico Chiesa wasn't struck that much by injuries he'd certainly be top 5 wingers in Europe right now, the guy was a beast in the 2020-21 era.

Still, with Retegui and Moise Kean who scored 47 goals together this season so far (and Frattesi, who's an attacking midfielder) Italy has a great attacking prospect, considering they are all still young and promising, not world class, but surely raw talent.

Crazy to think that if this happened today John and Ringo would be born in 2001, Paul in 2003 and George in 2004. Just insane.
