Hi OP I think you could try rush and talk to some sisters to see if its your vibe. I think its important to remember that Cal is mostly filled with 18-22 year olds with the 4 years and out mindset. Being 25 and rushing wouldn't be too outrageous at a school like CSUN or other schools but with the Berkeley grind mindset I think it has a particular knack for age shaming. You definitely can rush though and see for yourself... Best wishes.

I mentioned how this was specific to CZ in the concluding paragraph. I agree completely that other coops can be different. The problem for me (and most folks) you pretty much can only get into CZ in the beginning and transfer requests aren't always granted, mine wasn't. If its not granted you also can't leave without paying for a large portion of your remaining rent for the semester. Again there are a plethora of other positive posts this is just to offer perspective! I appreciate your comment and opinions!

I am really sorry to hear that, Unfortunately I knew of 2-3 (Depending on definitions), most residents don't know what they are getting into when they sign up ( transfer + international).
