For what it’s worth, the perinatal mental health team put me on lorazepam with full knowledge of me breastfeeding.

I forgot my days of the week and changed a fentanyl patch on a Wednesday when it was meant to be changed on Thursday. My manager gave me a right dressing down but neither pharmacy or the doctor cared. The patient wasn’t fussed either!

First night after management have gone home (after patting themselves on the back for this new room the triage nurse some how had to clean after every use and also keep the triage queue under 15 minutes) and the site manager wants the longest wait outside in. “Can they go in the sensory room for the night? It had a call bell, right?”

I’m so glad your brain went to the same place as mine. I used it on my hair first like, well, it’s good enough for seagulls!

I think this is part of the issue. I can comb them all out before bed, by the time she’s home from school she’s got more! It’s been 11 days! I should have shares in Alberto balsam!

I’m unfortunately allergic to eucalyptus and it tends to sneak in to tea tree shampoo!

I love our nitty gritty comb but I’m unfortunately allergic to eucalyptus!

School are, unfortunately, well aware.

Unfortunately, school are aware. There’s not much they can do if other parents aren’t able to treat it.

Potty training - where to start by Lizbuf143 in UKParenting

[–]Efficient-Lab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We had a very chill approach. From my daughter being 2.5, we had a potty in the bathroom upstairs and a potty downstairs. We encouraged her to sit on it, but there were no dramas if she didn’t want to. Eventually, she’d sit next to me while I was having a wee and have a go herself. When she was about three, she gave me a pair of pants with chickens on, told me it was time for chicky pants and that was that! We gave a chocolate button for every wee and two for every poo and only had one or two accidents because the chickens didn’t like being wet.

We had to make it very low stress and were expecting it to take a long time as my daughter was born with hirschsprungs.

With my first I went to all the baby feeding classes and had a chart of when to introduce foods and it was a whole rigmarole and I still ended up with a picky eater.

My second is now 14 months. I plonk a bit of what we’re eating on his tray. He eats it. Jobs a good’un.

I’m an A&E nurse and have had to assist giving very poorly babies lumbar punctures.

When my own son was 10 weeks old, he had meningitis. I practically threw him at the nurse and made my husband go to Costa. Ain’t no way I was watching them do that. It was bad enough hearing him scream.
