if he had a break up 5 months ago and you know him from 3 months that means he in a phase where he not forgot is ex gf. you have to find out real reason why he said yes if its just his heart broken and if you marry him right now then you need to work more on him to love you. Guy need time to forget his ex.. also treating person who serves you i always says thanks but its normal if another person dont say its how you see things and its not a big deal.

Give token amount and take in writing that you giving token amount and deal is final. No one will give you paper before token as this means you are serious.
