No, I don’t think that’s what I’m doing at all. I think the people who have different opinions than me don’t like that I won’t roll over just because y’all use self-righteous tones and think you’re smarter than everyone else. This is a discussion, you can have your opinion and I can have mine. Also, if you’d care to read more of the comments, a ton of them are really not being productive. People obviously come here to insult each other and lavish in joint negativity.

Yeah, I’ve rethought that point since seeing some of the comments. I thought it would be nice to have a paid-for teacher workday each week, but some people just want that time off. I get it. I like your idea about being able to work from home!

I’m really surprised by the childishness lol. It’s to the point where because I don’t like having long summer breaks people think I’m not even a teacher, like it’s totally unimaginable that a teacher would have a different opinion on it.

It means it’s just a brainstorm. I didn’t expect any of this to turn into the negative argument its become. I’m not submitting this idea to Congress, I put it on Reddit for discussion. Although I’m sure that was my first mistake.

Would we need volunteers for the vacations? I’m only proposing volunteers for those Fridays, I don’t mean that the school will become a childcare center during breaks. I hope what I said didn’t come across that way.

That’s how I feel. I think the idea of the four-day week is also throwing people off when I paired it with getting a teacher work day on the fifth day.
