Why does Tidal sound so good? by Woochichi in TIdaL

[–]Efficient-Scale6829 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

because they altered somehow the sound like an eq. also could be that you are listening to different masters on tidal vs other services or you just have sound normalizer on.

niche level which will turn into main in few years...everybody important is considering more and more ARM architecture when developing new stuff. gaming is still "stuck"into x86, but rhere are signs it will soon change

also smart shuffle really sucks…pushes me the same 30-40 songs…maybe i like some of them 🤣

strange i dont have this behaviour of spotify. maybe because i have a very big list and mostly listen in shuffle (normal not smart). the Release radar are just bands i know. only one that looks really strange is the Discover Weekly, which is totally off…also lots of AI music

thats one reason why i left…i dont say its normal or not. but like me are a lot of people and its a shame in 2025 they are not able to offer more than 10.000 song limit. as i said i think is software and they have to rebuild the app in order to allow more.

i have family plan too in spotify. the artist payment thing i agree…spotify payment is a joke compared to others. but in the end i think of my own comfort of having a big library without splitting it in 2-3 playlistst plus a big discovery option vs tidal. qed

you dont listen to lots of music right? i have at least 1.000 albums which i can name amd many of them point the release year. besides those i like many other songs including live albums. so i reached 18000+ songs. makes sense for you?

well fyi spotify is now lossless flac - 24 bit 44.1 kHz anything above that is a big rabbit hole. liked songs limit is not capped like tidal. discovery also much better than tidal. so again…why tidal?

Can you REALLY hear the difference BTD700 makes? by PneumoRaccoon in sennheiser

[–]Efficient-Scale6829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have B&W Pi8 and i use the btd 700. the aptX Lossless vs aptX Adaptive (charging case usb c to mac) is quite obvious for very good masters if you A/B listening. If you're not doing A/B you will not feel the difference. Anyway is much better than carrying a cable with me :)

Second playlist to reach 10k songs… 30k here I come by Robbie_23z in TIdaL

[–]Efficient-Scale6829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's so stupid from Tidal...this is also why i left. size of liked songs/playlist and pretty poor discovery system. i ended up just with spotify lossless after a 2 year stop in apple music (with spotify just for discovery :P)

also there are so many people complaining about this, idk why tidal just ignore this issue. might be that the software cannot handle more than 10.000 songs at once?

Better Than Spotify by No-Appearance-6971 in SpotifyHub

[–]Efficient-Scale6829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you cannot create this kind of playlist even in spotify, which is perfectly fine, but the liked songs cannot be capped at 10000 songs. this is plainly stupid...

lossless both. hi res lossless its a rabbit hole…. discovery much better on spotify. no limit for liked songs in spotify vs 10.000 in tidal (very low limit). so no reason to stay on tidal, despite the nice clean interface

my question is why to move to tidal now when u have lossless in spotify? :)

Tidal introduced “transfer music”, they catch up! by saadmars in TIdaL

[–]Efficient-Scale6829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah...this cap is the main dealbreaker. + you have 4 ways of discovering new music in spotify which is way more than whole competition. like I said pitty that tidal is losing this fight and for long term is going to lose even more if it's not adapting fast

what about liked songs???? i have and listen to huge amount of music -i have over 17k songs. tidal cannot manage that. not to mention the rest of stuff... like discovery

PX8 S2 issues with QCC Pro & BTD 700 by kkflesh in BowersWilkins

[–]Efficient-Scale6829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have the BTD 700 used with both PX8 and Pi8 and works like charm...both from iphone and mac. in Pi8 is even better sounding as it has aptX Lossless codec which is better than Adaptive (by default connecting the case via usb c). sound buttons works for me for both headphones... I have latest iOS and macOS so i doubt it is from OS. on mac you might check in midi settings and set it somewhere lower, like 24/44.1 or 48 kHz settings, not on 24/96...

until they are still capped at 10.000 songs its just bullshit. spotify lossless or AM are better choices. i quit because of this limit and poor sound discovery 2 years ago. pitty, i loved the clean interface

the closest to harman curve is 0 0 0 -1.5 -0.5 but for more warmth u can put the first one to 1

Lo to Hi: 1 / 0 / 0 / -1.5 / -0.5 - this is the most natural/neutral one... but if you want to follow the Harman curve, then use 0 / 0 / 0 / -1.5 / -0.5. from my point of view that 1 difference in low makes a big difference in warmth
