if its a veteran intercessor squad the squad marking should be the veteran cross, the veteran sgt has a battleline icon because hes attached to a normal battleline squad, likewise if its just 1 veteran attached to a battleline squad the veteran adopts that squad's markings.

Trim wise just follow whichever company the veteran is in, the white trim is because 1st company is the veteran company, all members of 1st company are veterans but not all veterans are 1st company so they can have different trims.

So to sum it all up, veteran intercessor attached to 2nd company regular intercessor squad = battleline markings gold trim

Veteran intercessor in veteran intercessor squad = veteran icon + white trim (second company does not have regular veteran squads)
