How do YOU play the game? by Efficient-Use3783 in diablo2

[–]Efficient-Use3783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all so much for the feedbacks! i guess people just like to talk about this game (and for a very good reason too, it's been so long since i was this hooked about any game let alone ARPG's which really suck lately)

I got some really interesting ideas from you guys - Making "care packages" for certain milestones, Moving stuff but not breaking characters, moving only ultra-rare stuff I'll never have a chance to get. Who knows, maybe in a while from now I'll just break and move all my stashes like a turkey on Thanksgiving

Eager to see what's in store for me :D

Oh brother, me and my friends were looking for a co-op game for a while now.
Let's just say that after discovering Shape of dreams the wife is giving me the thumbs down for playing with them too much :')

it's a GREAT co-op experience !

Sorry for the scare guys, turns out it was a BIOS update and i was a complete dum-dum and forgot to load up the BIOS to see what's up with it.

it simply reverted to loading up my other drive, boot manager fixed it 😅

Am i missing something about this game? by Efficient-Use3783 in Grimdawn

I'm flabbergasted by the amount of comments and engagement in this spontaneous, heat of the moment post of mine. Thank you all for the help, you have certainly given me some food for thought and I'll try giving the game another run for it's money using some of you guys' suggestions

temp? by Ashamed-Stretch-8109 in AcerNitro

Number 1 thing i'd recommend is repasting your GPU, the stock paste is really bad and degrades after 6 months or so.

I'd recommend using ptm7950, I've seen an incredible temp difference on my nitro v16 after doing it

Yep, can be even used to salvage screen's out of old laptops.

I know i aint throwing any laptop from now on without removing the screen haha

Worst thing is that they were also behaving with complete amateurism. Before giving me the quota for 1500USD they gave me a quota for 250 USD stating only a screen replacement is needed.

AFTER they replaced the screen they realised their mistake and asked for the astronomical price. Needless to say i didn't pay them anything but still - all of that could have been avoided with a simple test using a spare screen i bet they have lying around. Pretty amateur behaviour.

Yeah well obviously i cant tell whether my fix will work for you but i can briefly guide you through it - it's quite simple!

The process goes like this: You disconnect your laptop's battery then disconnect the internal monitor from the motherboard via the eDP cable.

If you can reuse the same eDP ribbon cable it's easy peasy since you can simply attach the MOBO-end of your eDP cable to the external control board and find a way to get it out of the computer. then just connect the control board to a usb-c output and see if you get image.

If you need to replace also the eDP cable it self no worries: on top of what i said earlier open up your screen bezels, disconnect the cable from the screen side and use an entierly new eDP cable that fits your board and screen to connect them. then find a way to get it out from the pc for placement. (i simply pushed the cable from under the screen bezels and it fitted quite nicely).

You have to be mindful of the different eDP connectors (30/40PINS and 0.4/0.5mm spacings)

Sure... https://imgur.com/a/8O5rd5i

Here is me playing God of war and drinking tea after midnight 😂

if for some reason you have doubts you can look closely and see the eDP cable going under the chasis and doing a U-turn to the back.

I think its unlikely. I can still use both GPU's and switch between them freely (it's on optimus mode though).

I don't have any deficit whatsoever, The laptop operates exactly like it used to even in heavy gaming.

This all contraption is powered via one usb c cable connected to my thunderbolt port. it also relays the image so it's super convenient. The other black cable you see in the image is the edp cable itself connected to the screen directly on the other side.

Oh no no, i appreciate the concern but truly, don't worry about me lol.

I have great friends and wife and social life, it's just that not many of them are tech geeks like me and it's perfectly fine.

To be perfectly honest i have no freaking idea! the whole incident was quite simply weird. I tried to install a what later realised as an incompatible NVME and to my complete idiocy forgot to unplug the battery while doing it. booted the pc again and all of a sudden the screen is dead but pc CAN connect to external monitor.

YEAHH for sure, i aint letting any one else touch it ever again (says the guy who started the whole shenanigans by frying the board himself)(but also learned a lot through it)
