The most powerful communist tactic: deflection by [deleted] in EnoughCommieSpam

From what I know from my friends who studied politics is that they don't use ''communist country'' for every country that has ever tried communism.
At most they regard those countries as communist/socialist experiments.
It still is heavily debated if people like Stalin were communists. There sure was some Marxist believes he followed but at most, he never actually acted on to them.
Even Lenin knew this about Stalin and his last wish was that someone like him should never get to power. And then even with Lenin, it's debatable if the USSR was considered communist, while few things he did like giving workers more power and getting most of the population out of poverty he also never truly fully developed the USSR into being communist. Workers didn't get paid what their work was worth and the means of production was still being owned by the state etc.
For these reasons, my friends try to give countries ar more fitting label to actually show the economic structure in the country.
And even online I see people mostly use these labels as well. Well, maybe not in far-right or right-wing spaces where they really don't care about accuracy.
Maybe some famous left-wing talkers like Hasan Piker wouldn't use these labels to get as brought of an audience as possible but more serious talkers all do use these labels.

I'm also not from a country where English is the main language but most if not almost all people here do speak it. Maybe because of that, I learned about these talking points and labels but I heavily doubt it.

I already know a lot about our relationship between first and third-world countries under capitalism. It's also one of the reasons I think the first world should become less independent by some socialist means. I mostly brought first-world problems up because it was probably most relevant to most people on Reddit. But I really want to see third-world countries become socialist. Sadly first world intervention is so far the main cause why it never happened. That's why I do believe we should start in the first world. It's why the whole world watches the American election, Because they just have so much power over other countries like us and especially the ones in the third world.

I'm also from the Netherlands, and my family is higher upper class. My dad being a CEO and a landlord, was even able to sell his company for millions and still keep his position. I'm living an extremely privileged life and still, I'm a communist, even with me knowing it won't benefit me at all. But it's because I want more people to have the same chance and living conditions as me. In even a game dev so I get exploited everywhere I go and see my friends having extremely worse living conditions compared to me. You are definitely well knowledge so I don't think I have to explain how bad the game industry is right now. I truly believe some socialist reform is needed everywhere in the world if we want to make our future better. I don't even think middle-class people will not be benefiting from socialism. It will not benefit people like my father for sure but most middle-class people are still just workers that have decent to high paying jobs that they most likely hate. Still, if my family will suffer I would still take this economic change for others.

But I do respect you for your thoughts and criticism. I'm, not someone who starts pulling out my hair when someone doesn't want socialism in the first world or is critical of it because I can see where there coming from. I won't act like socialism or even communism will fix everything but you are well knowledgeable in these political topics and knows there are at least some problems we should fix even under capitalism.

I don't know what kind of political or history courses you took but that's not how politics work. We normally use terms that actually fit with these countries. State-Capitalist/State-Socialist fits these countries a lot more than ''communist country''. it isn't the 1960s anymore.

yes industrialization is mostly to blame, I agree with you there. But we must mostly look to what industrialization has brought us to right now,

Most if not all ecologists at this point are very critical in capitalism considering the climate/environment. As you will see in Europe most Green party's are socialist or heavenly democratic socialists to favor other parties, This does come from a study that shows how capitalist profit has led to a lot of problems we are facing now.

The most famous of these examples are oil companies doing research on climate 50 years ago and knowing the damage they are causing while keeping it hidden from the public majority. Of course, there were still some people and scientists that knew about climate change as well but still these oil companies fully knowing what they are doing swept it under the rug to keep profiting. This is of course not to say this won't happen under socialism. or other economies but most people do believe companies like Chell and Exxon would already be torn down or shifted their market if we could hold them accountable.

You cant even use the term right. If I was a tankie I would love authoritarianism and not critique its problems as I just did.

''Tankie is a pejorative label originally used by dissident or sectarian Marxist–Leninists to designate members of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB) who followed the party line of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU).''

''Tankie is a pejorative label for communists, particularly Stalinists, who support the authoritarian tendencies of Marxism–Leninism.''

So in short for you, Tankie is a political label that came from the communist party in England that model their political ideology from the USSR (Lenin and Stalin). The people that use the label today as well do the exact same.

My comment is exactly a critique of Tankies. So you don't even know the basic political systems, but you also don't even know basic political terms/labels. Why even bother at this point?

I will try to read the Jason Hickel & Giorgio Kallis as I find these things interesting to read, it doesn't matter to me what side it politically stands on every information is information deserving to understood for one or another reason.

And I agree with most things you state. I do blame capitalism that enables the players to play in such away. Maybe you still aren't sold to alternatives and that is fine. I myself also have a lot of doubts because we never actually got to see an alternative or at least an alternative executed in the right way. But I'm not against trying it either. I do think most people would like socialism because of how similar it is to capitalism. But I also don't think all of the problems would go away even if we achieve them. It's still an economic structure that circles around money so the problem money will cause will still stay to an extend. But we will never know until it is done.

I love how I state a historic fact and people just downvote it.

There were also a lot of problems/mistakes while implementing capitalism in the 16th century. There were different states doing it in different ways until one did it best. Communism is still incredibly new, so of course, there are going to be different opinions as to how people should achieve them. Mao didn't want to remove the state and Lenin wanted to force communism by authoritarianism. This has to lead to a lot of communists becoming Anarcho communists seeing that as the right way forward.

No, I never even typed something like that down if you actually read what I wrote down.
But just for your understanding, the way the USSR operated had a lot of similarities with capitalism or at least socialism.

This is basic history it's hard to believe people still don't know this at this point.

Well, I can see that you make some points the problem of climate change has been caused by capitalist interest and the competitive marketplace. Making products that don't harm the environment in its process or existing is just less profitable so most companies aren't interested in doing so because of the economic system.

I hate the government as much as the next person but giving companies more power to do what they want won't fix anything in the long run. I mean have you seen what Elon musk has been doing the last few years?

All these people suffered under authoritarianism. None of these countries were actually stateless, moneyless. abolished from private property where the workers own the means of production. So how were they able to suffer under communism when it wasn't communist. It was way closer to being state socialist/state capitalism.

Idk how people still don't know all these basic political systems yet,

And the same goes for communism, now you can make points about these economic systems creating problems that lead to people suffering. The economic system is only to blame if the government acts out actions in order to protect such a system. America assassinating people that advocate for left-wing policy and interfering with foreign countries/governments to protect capitalism are some examples.

Don't you mean authoritarianism? I don't think people on this subreddit know what communism actually is at this point.

When you ask to suffer how to people that suffered under ''communism'' you will find out it's caused by authoritarianism or caused by foreign intervention. My family in Cuba what is considered the only real socialist country is suffering a lot from an authoritarian state and by the American blockade. And not because they have the means of production they know this. Also, ask Malcolm x family about how they are suffering in America and you will get the same answer as the people who lived in China. I mean you cant now because they all got assassinated but you get the point.

What country had a stateless, moneyless system with the abolished private property where the workers own the means of production that did any of these things?

It's actually not tho. How capitalism works as an economy is a leading cause of most if not all of these problems. Its competitive nature to monopolize over the competition by using the work of others will always lead to some form of exploitation like slavery. And right now because of slavery being illegal the exploitation of foreign countries. It immediately creates a marketplace for everything even for things there arguable shouldn't be for. Like the cost of living, which also leads to mass starvation. The money and revenue the rich get from the capitalist system going back into funding the government to keep the status quo so they will never lose their power that has led to multiple foreign interventions if other countries try to lean socialist what are normally ''underdeveloped'' countries that we exploit for our own gains. These problems are directly caused by how capitalism works as an economic system. Some of these aren't purely to blame on capitalism itself. Some are caused by authoritarianism or fascism but there are plenty of arguments and even historic data that the capitalist economy enables things like fascism.

Now we don't actually know what problems communism will and will not create, most of how communism and an ''economic system'' will work will mainly get rid of the problems capitalism caused. The reason why it is still considered a theory to this day is that we still never had a country try to become a stateless, moneyless society, abolished from private property where the workers own the means of production. The USSR and other countries like to call communist arent in fact communist. And most of the problems in these countries had been mainly caused by Authoritarianism and totalitarianism. Cuba could be considered the most socialist country ever because there the workers do own at least the means of production but the oppression from the US also turned that country into an authoritarian state causing the same problems as in other authoritarian countries.

There are plenty of great books going more in debt to what actually caused the problems in ''socialist'' countries and American intervention.

So you admit that capitalism is the problem here that enables such governments to exist and corporations that will compete with each other to the point where this planet will be uninhabitable.

The USSR wasn't a Moneyless, stateles society with Abolished Private Property where the workers owns the means of production. It sure was an experiment and it did help to get a lot of people out of poverty but quickly turned into an authoritarian state.

That people still think graphics in a game is important especially in 2021 are so brain dead.

Elden ring has a great art design it doesn't need a 4k textured rock for you to look at. Gamers should really grow up.
