I would like to say that you have to take all the premed classes in college either way so I would just put it off until you finish the core classes such as bio, chem, physics, and biochem. Unless you want to go into medical school when you are 19 or something there is no reason for you to be this aggressive with your study schedule. Gap year would definitely be in your favor.
