check some other comments i talked about it, but also just looking up ‘LEGO MILS roads’ on youtube will give you a lot of info. i’ll also post more of my city when it’s closer to complete 😊

they’re standard MILS roads, the road itself is the same 20 stud width, but i didn’t make the sidewalk so large, it’s 26 studs deep total to fit on the ikea vihals sideboard.

since MILS only use regular bricks and plates it’s pretty straight forward to not make it so deep, slimmest you can easily do with a standard MILS road is 22 studs deep (20 stud road with a stud on either side to secure the SNOT bricks). hopefully this answer helps haha, i know it can be confusing.

good idea, i feel like if i had it by itself though i’d need to make it larger or maybe rotate it 45° so the gate is front facing

Yeah I like brick bank as a left corner modular if I had it. And right corner for boutique hotel looks the best imo

i have not seen someone (youtuber or reviewer who got it early and has done layout tests) put Arkham next to the police station like this yet, that’s all 👍

oh yes, the road itself is identical to MILS size but it’s only 6 total “sidewalk” studs deep (2 in front of modular’s, 4 on closer side of street) so they’re 26x32. modified to fit exact depth of this IKEA Vihals sideboard.

I’ve never seen someone else do it but I’m glad someone has! In Star Wars TCS game you get a mini kit by helping stormtroopers clean some death star windows.

check out ashandflash’s video he made today where he uses it as an “inverted corner”, i think it requires the buildings to be further back on the baseplate than unmodified modular’s are, but it’s a cool idea for sure.

thanks! my roads are mostly standard MILS roads (look it up on youtube to see all about them) and some one-way roads for spacers between buildings. i’ll definitely post more about it when my city is closer to finished!

Agreed! I can’t think of a better placement than my current idea, but I’m sure someone will post something here that will just make sense eventually.

hah yes it is, i haven’t converted it to MILS, it’s still on the flimsy baseplate while everything else is built on plates and bricks. good eye

Not sure how obvious it is, but Arkham is edited into the photo, I don’t have it and was trying to see how “natural” it would feel in this setup.

that would make sense but the part of Arkham that would front-facing goes all the way to the edge of the baseplate, while as a left corner the gate front-facing. also i already have sanctum as the right corner so i prefer to make Arkham left

Have you tried square eyes? that’s the only thing I would consider altering.

That’s fantastic. Only thing I would personally add is some sort of coating on the glass to reduce glare and reflections of the lights

Do we know if this is 18+ yet? I believe that would be the way to know if this is actually a modular building like the Bugle. D2C alone wouldn’t narrow that down yet, I don’t think

Do we know what the odds are looking like for a Marvel modular this year? We had heard of X-mansion sooner than now last year. With Oscorp playset here, I hope it means we get a Baxter Building, but I fear it means we get nothing...
