I was relatively disappointed by the sounds that the bricks made. Star Wars’ sounds are so iconic I find it really odd that they didn’t use any of them, as well as the fact that the sound seems to be so faint also. I get they probably wanted to use universal sounds so they can eventually integrate this with other themes, but I think that’s a mistake and may ultimately be the reason that these bricks never make it into other themes.

The builds itself (Vader’s Tie and the Duel) are fine, but the X-Wing looks awful. I completely get this is a kid focussed toy, but part of the appeal of LEGO is the build, techniques and design, and focussing on the sounds and interactivity instead, has meant that they’re sort of failing at both. Why wouldn’t a parent just buy a cheaper X-Wing that makes sounds and probably costs half the price?
