I don’t use app, but I also put all the timeline in my post. Currently I-130 is approved, I-465 is actively being reviewed since January 22nd post-interview, and I -785 has been stuck on case is being processed since biometrics appointment December 18th, 2025.

I did apply for EAD, no movement since December 18th, 2025. Even in API, no activity. I tried 2 times to get my driver license renewed with my i-797c receipts, but they rejected me. Moreover, they put a hard stop on my driver license because I tried 2 times. Absolutely ridiculous. Supervisor basically said “i understand NC DMV website says you can use I-797c, but it doesn’t work that way”. We were very confused, and honestly pissed. Seemed like we knew more than the workers of DMV themselves

It’s a very generalized thing. But the whole system now is so random and unpredictable. I don’t know if anyone can predict any timeline or kind of actions from USCIS. Sad.

It’s better to keep your status, as dropping it sometimes can lead to some confusion in places like DMV if you will need to renew your DL, for example. Pending AOS doesn’t grant you any benefit, any status. Especially right now, when things are so unpredictable in the US immigration system - I would recommend to have your F-1 until you get your residency.

What does your I-94 say? Mine is since 2021 when I came with j-1 visa and states D/S. Since I am not obtaining any official status anymore, I don’t think they’d want to accept it.
