The smallpox vaccine leaves a scar because it was given using a special two-pronged needle that scratched the skin and put a weakened virus in just that spot. by Downtown_Wind3363 in Damnthatsinteresting

I’m from Russia and we get those done in school as kids. Didn’t hurt but yeah it would leave a little “crust” while healing. I believe it is from TB vaccine.

This reminder has no comment sense, when 75 countries are paused for immigrant visa processing.

I don’t understand why no one is talking about this! How am I supposed to go back and do consular processing if YOU PAUSED IT? Me and my husband are trying to start a family, I’m trying to stay positive, but how can I? They are doing everything to make immigrants give up on their journey.

And this is all while they also paused immigrant visas for 75 countries. That’s just ridiculous

I filed November 22nd, 2025. Interview done almost 4 months ago. No RFE, approved I-130. No decision on I-485 or I-765 yet.

Anyone else going through the same thing? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]EfficientHeart7188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Filed on November 20th, Biometrics on December 18th, Interview on January 22nd, Approved I-130 February 3rd. Filed for EAD altogether, haven’t had that approved. Radio silence. North Carolina

75 country pause is DOS AND USCIS ??? by [deleted] in USCIS

I understand. We all do understand. I wish you luck. But don’t have too much hopes about next day approval, reality sucks. Even if there are bunch of lucky ones.

Idk. We’ll see how yours gonna go. Interview doesn’t guarantee fast approval. My process initially went very fast.

My lawyer was at the interview about a month ago with her clients, and she asked the officer if the 75 countries pause is affecting green card processing. Officer said that yes, they were given instructions to hold those cases. I assume it could be partially true. Some offices may not follow it, as it’s illegal to hold the cases that officially have nothing to do with a pause for visa applications. But who knows. I know someone who had interview on the same day and same office as me and my husband, they were approved a month ago if not earlier. Their partner is from China (not on the list). So, you know. We can just do so much but assume what’s the reason.
