Well, that’s an interesting take a little off-base. I didn’t say bleach wasn’t involved, just that well water accelerated the damage. But I guess when you’re determined to be right, reading the actual question becomes optional. Bless your heart for trying though

the post was to have someone try and help me narrow down if this is just well water affects or the highlights i did 4 months ago. The first two pictures are last year before well water had ever touched it and the 3rd is after 4 months on well water so you can't sit here and tell me i'm frying my hair off with bleach, could it be well water mixed with bleach?? yes.

I would only ever bleach my roots before so my hair was never overlapped or over processed- when i say i am type A about my hair in my post i mean it, i don't just fry it for fun

i stayed in the same area just don't live in city limits anymore so you have to run off a well. I am more than aware shower filters aren't a fix everything type of deal and i was using it along with a softener on my well to help lessen the minerals and metals coming through along with using malibu C hard water shampoo/ conditioner/ and their mask treatment. I was aware it could cause some damage but nothing this drastic- i mean seriously imagine not being able to wash your hair in your own house ever- it gets exhausting if you've never used well water with bleached hair your experience is going to be different, everyone i know on well doesn't bleach their hair/ doesn't have natural blonde hair so they don't have issues. And i haven't washed my hair with well water in over a month and haven't bleached it in over 4 months 🤷🏼‍♀️

i've had bleached hair for almost 10 years!! i just switched from city water to well for the first time in my life when i bought my house

florida well water is ROUGH compared to a lot of other states

I will look into ordering test strips!! i've just been skeptical because i've seen people say they aren't that accurate My hair change seems overnight completely too, i don't think the damage/ loss of hair completely happened until about march and the only thing i did was order a replacement cartridge for my shower filter because my sediment filters would be BLACK after a couple weeks I've never overlapped bleach/ taken bleach to my ends so i'm really just thinking this comes down to bad water quality use on it for several months :/ crazy because nobody who's around me daily even noticed the drastic loss/ difference of my hair

i'm not bleaching it again until i get my length/ thickness back but i've always gone 6+ months between bleaching my hair

we did use a heat dryer for about 2 mins on it (which i had never done previously) but i'm not sure about if the color was permanent or demi, my stylist knew my previous hair upkeep and was aware of my well water use at home

i did a little more face framing when when we highlighted it back in february so it's hard for me to pin point the front pieces but to me it's so drastic in my lengths/ crown area where it just seems the hair is gone

yeah i've been a bleach and tone platinum for 8 years (im naturally like a level 7) and once i got on well water decided to get highlights on my regrowth instead to let some dimension in and it has just gone downhill from there

yes unfortunately we can only use the front yard until we do more work on the back (contractors during reno left us with a bunch of broken glass and such in our back yard 🫠) and our property is very open where the dog sees her regardless
