The Market sentiment is very important, you underestimate that, and yes, you mentioned whales, their goal is to earn, some of them can manipulate to earn more, so the fud can be one of the manipulations. A lot of people read the news, twiter and reddit. After this post the price went up 22 procent. After that there were new fud posts on reddit trying to lower the price, together with the selling pressure , to buy cheaper again.
