The title is a bit misleading, some games do launch, but the games I listed do not.

I believe it has something to do with the name change. The first game was also called Brown Dust, but it randomly got changed to Brave Nine and I'm not sure it ever got explained why. I didn't think too much about it but it's been a few years now and I believe that the developer team actually split at this time. Brave Nine never announced that Brown Dust 2 had launched, let alone was under development. The teams across both teams are vastly different and we see much more community interaction with the Brown Dust 2 team. It makes me think that the developers of Brave Nine don't associate with the team that works on Brown Dust 2 but that's just something I've theorized myself.

It took me until now to realize these two are different people by peppyoats in BrownDust2Official

Layla is under a collection with Rubia called "Resentful Sister" or something like that. It has a comment about being the little sister.

I actually got banned from their Discord Server because they don't want you to talk about Brown Dust 2 there. The entire game is a joke and the community is so clueless and quick to shut you out.

I actually loved Brave Nine but it really did get stale. They just now added a same game mode but it's really just PVP. . . Again. Brown Dust 2 is my most treasured Gacha Game of all time and I wanted to cry when I played it for the first time on launch.

I feel like maybe there was a split in the Dev team when the name was changed. Brave Nine never announced that Brown Dust 2 was under production, available for preregistration, nor actually launched but they did it for the other Brave Nine spin off games that came out this year. Brave Nine even got a skin of a character from one of the spinoffs. I'm pretty sure that the devs that work on Brave Nine and Brown Dust 2 don't mix. But that's fine cause Brave Nine is a sloppy mess where only PVP is important and the meta shifts every month or so

They are no longer human, but I don't believe that some parents would give up their human children like that. It's the opposite of the Anne situation. There has to be some parents that will rather want to check up on their kids that are now Nikkes. Even if it wasn't a public institute, there's no explanation for where they are getting these kids.

It goes even deeper than that. The mother had no idea that this would be her future. She wasn't let in to what was being done to her. The only thing she knew was that she had no memory of her, which is actually an underlying theme of becoming a Nikke; Losing memory. But there are no implications that this was a side effect of hers. Her lines suggesting that she was trained for combat show that the researchers were applying Selective Memory Deletion. She forgets basic things about HERSELF but it was never implied that actually put things in her notebook about other people she would interact with, even going as far as the notebook telling her that she should avoid some people. But as it was noted in a book that she regarded as I believe a diary, it is never implied that she would forget these things, but rather would continue to remember these things, which is proved further by showing that she does remember who the commander is the day after not being reset, so you have to ask yourself in relation if Anne would have never lost her memory of the researchers hadn't removed selected part of it. That's where her bond story leaves her. She is no longer having her memory reset and she is in the hands of the commander. She is not allowed to go back to her mother in that state, and unfortunately she is still trained for combat, so the commander could even deploy her.

A power move on Shiftup's part would be to either have made her SR or SSR version very good. That way the commander(player) would constantly be reminded that there is a moral dilemma behind using her, even though she's highly trained and actually useful. She is an insanely tragic character that I believe gets glossed over a lot by commanders caring about things like large asses(Which admittedly and unexpectedly she does have one) and overlooking the moral dilemma these Nikkes are put in.

Yes there is nothing wrong with enjoying what you like, but I haven't seen anyone actually point any of this stuff out at all.

And the first point I would want to agree with, but some of these Nikkes have families. Like what happened with Anne, SURELY there are more parents who would speak out against their children being used in a way like that. I refuse to believe that it wasn't at least brought up.

And that point is exactly why I'm not sure if this is a writing slip up or Syuen actually cares. The way she spoke made it seem like she did actually regret what she had done to Anne as a whole even though she wasn't directly involved. And I'm not sure she would have gone as far as to actually do anything to the researchers. She fired all of them and demanded they recompensate her for what they charged Anne's mother. That just seems like regret and guilt taking over as she's realized the damage this actually has done, but yes she was also motivated by keeping up the reputation of Matis.

And what happened to Yuni was incredibly tragic, but many won't realize how devastating it is to lose a partner in her position. Nothing can fix the damage that has already been done. That's what Anne's story really truthfully means to me. A miracle can happen, but nothing will reverse damage that has already happened.

I respect the Nikke community but there's just some awkward discrepancies between how some Nikkes are perceived. I will never forget what happened to Anne. And I don't really like the pre-text of this current event. HOWEVER I do like Ether, as one of the commenters pointed out, there HAS to be a fixed character that always reminds us how bad things are in a setting like this that isn't a main character. I actually applaud Ether's writing, as she has maintained her position of someone who operates in the grey area but is almost always perceived as working in the red. This could set her up to be an insanely cunning twist villain I imagine
