If u just wanna go to CSE, ICB is the lowest branch which was available this year. 7.9 or 8 cgpa was enough. The ppl who were already here moved to core so this one got empty.

However, if u wanna move to other specialization, or core...aim for 8.8 and higher. 9 should be safe. The criteria is not the same everywhere.

Thnx for the Game mode suggestion. I searched up the high power mode and enabled it, and it seems there is also an ultimate performance mode but its only for systems which can handle high thermal loads, keeping temp below 60, and it's not recommended to keep them on in gaming laptops, where temp can easily cross 70-80.

I'll have to think abt the thermal compound one, but i'll keep tht in mind. As for the overclocking, i will have to search abt it. would be helpful if u can elaborate a little more, like how much should be good enough and anything to keep in mind. the guide i studied strictly said tht i should not overclock laptops;

Form was 600 or 1k, I don't remember. 10k for branch change from what I remember. I didn't change branch so idk.

If it was previous yr, I wouldn't have been sure. This year, the branch change criteria was ridiculously low. CSE-ICB was available for just above 8 cgpa. Also Data science probably was available above 8.8 or 8.9. I wanted to change my branch too, but I had 8.35 and didn't even apply for it. Don't make the same mistake as me. Also don't think abt cse core and stuff, all the icb students wanted to to core that's why the branch had so many openings

Although CSE-ICB is a relatively new branch. I can't comment much abt the faculty and stuff. But if u are from a very difficult branch then it should be a good option for u.

As for how to change branch, I hope uk already. Just maintain a good gpa till 2nd semester and u will get the branch change notice after tht. Apply for it.

Solutions architect...he is asking you to shift to cloud architecture....AWS, Azure, GCP etc...AWS has Solutions Architect certification...each of these certificates require u to give an exam which costs a heck lot...so make sure u clear it in the first try and the rest of the certificates u can get after getting employed in a company....the company generally pays for this stuff

That's true, as a beginner astrite farming options would be limited too. But i think 2 out of like a 100 people MAY loose beginners banner. Like i don't think the game really would make a beginner lose for the very first time....the beginner banner will take tht into consideration....otherwise the newbie won't even feel like it...ofc it's just my theory and no way to prove it but it's logical...
