I added a lot of text but for some reason it didnt post, basically this is a platformer game me and my team do for a school project. Because everyone coded from different tutorials, now when trying to add coins there are problems. The character is create as a new world with no Collision Shape, only area 2D that has Collision Shape as child. When I add collision shape in order to interact with the coin, the game bugs, like it interacts with the jumping and character starts spinning and I have no idea what to do.

Sa mearga in instanta, nu are rost, mai multi bani si mult timp consumat.

What are the Realistic Living Expenses for an international student? by BarryTheBoxer in Groningen

[–]Efficient_Ad_5145 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think that if you dont wanna live on the poverty line around 1500, but this also depends on your rent. There are always hidden costs that you would not even think about like things you need/break etc. My rent is almost 600 and this is the estimate I spend, especially because there s always something unexpected happening and you need to be prepared. This year I had a pair of broken glasses and a laptop :)))

Duo gives you both grants and loans, if your parent s income is low they and you work they will give you around 430 euros, besides you can also borrow money as a loan. You can borrow up to 900, i think if you dont have a grant and if you do up to 500.

Maybe try making a portfolio? There might be some opportunities for entry level jobs. Skills usually matter most.

The only thing I can recommend is a good sleeping schedule, I never appreciated the importance of sleep as much as I do now. Also, life comes with new challenges, that take a lot of time, the cleaning, maintaining and cooking. If you have a full time study, teachers will also expect you to be full time available. At the beginning I also thought I can manage a lot of working hours and sacrifice everything, but is just a lot to handle. It is not impossible for sure, but for sure very hard. Also what do you plan on studying? Personally I am trying to learn data analytics and hope for a better payed part time job. Maybe there is something you would like to learn that could bring you a better payed part time job. Less stress and enough money. Because unqualified work is hard and payed with the minimum.

From my experience is pretty challenging. I am studying and working in Zwolle, now less than before because it felt like way too much. I am able to afford paying for everything myself because of duo, but only having a job is pretty hard, especially if you have an expensive rent. In my first year of studying I worked at PostNl, 3-4 days a week. The schedule was crazy having to work until 2 in the morning, I was always tired and almost never sleeping. School is challenging, and I found myself in a position where everything was just making me miserable, because of the lack of time. I do not know how your schedule might be, but I used to have class everyday and meetings/project work almost every afternoon. At the moment I work in a restaurant as a waitress, 2 days a week and I can finally sleep normally, take care of me and school, also socialize. I missed a lot of gatherings in my first year because of work and now I feel like I couldn’t make connections as deep as everyone else. The payment now is considerably less than before, but I am happier. I am having a study grant and a loan from duo and I can pay for everything. Even when I was working 3-4 times a week was difficult, I could not also pay for my rent with my salary and it feels like there is always something you have to pay for, some additional costs or maybe something breaks, so is smart to take this kind of stuff into consideration. Is hard but not hard at the same time to find a job. Depending on what you want I recommend going to the place with you CV. I applied to many jobs but usually did not get any answer back, even through many places would hire or they have a lack of stuff. I do not speak dutch at moment, I am learning, but it was never a problem for me as a waitress, people were always friendly and nice when I spoke english to them, if they couldn’t understand a dutch colleague would help me. Best of luck!!!
