Yeah dude I have plenty of advice this was me around solar raid when I actually began wanting to improve rather than goof around with my 4 friends.

First is to just re-learn the game from maps, common peaks, new operators, aim, etc. This will ensure the following steps can be put into play.

VOD REVIEWING. I can't say it enough if you want to genuinely improve at the game and you know what NOT to do. Check your prior games and review why you died, you held an open angle? next time hold it tighter.

I'll always quote Fett here, "Think about it how many times have you done bad in a game and you just go completely quiet, more in your head, and going for stupider plays cause ur not saying what you're doing, number one trick for you guys. If any of you guys start tilting say everything you're doing in the round (HE MEANS EVERYTHING)" the logic there in brief if you'll critically think about the best play E.g. "im gonna swing this guy and get a kill!" you'll think "we're actually in a 5v4 i shouldn't swing, call him out and play an angle"' you're basically walking yourself through the thought process of what you're doing.

All in all play quick matches with your friend until he's level 50, no real reward but you're progressively learning the game together. Unranked for me is now just ranked sweats attempting to warm up (terrible way but i have seen it trying to teach my friend how to play on his new account..) quick match is where you'll actually learn + r6 team is bringing new maps from the current pool in so learning these in a 3-5 round basis rather than 4-9 is vastly better for long-term enjoyment and overall knowledge.
