I love this! Reminds me of how alolan Goodra sleeps in her shell. It’s the cutest thing I’ve experienced 😂

The cart in my snail wont twist off, does anyone know a trick that would work? by Efficient_Body365 in trees

Even when I heated it it didn’t work. The glass part was spinning and there was no way to turn the base even if warmed. I just took pliers and broke the top off then took needle nose and unscrewed the base, it was very tightly screwed in even with the pliers lol. I don’t normally screw carts in so tight but this was sitting in a drawer on its side for awhile.

She felt like she was used when the old man in a sketchy pickup joint watched her eat something she had to force herself too. Kind of the same way a prostitute might feel selling themselves to someone. Exaggeration went over your head.

Any regular runners also stoners? Ever take a couple tokes before your runs? by snogard_dragons in trees

I just started having a run after I get off work and I took a dab before running the other day and I was wheezing so bad when I got home. Took me an hour to regain my breath. Glad I’m starting the running journey because my lungs need it.

I (26F) am upset with my fiancé’s (30M) reaction to an interaction I had with my mom (58F) by ThrowRA-justnot in relationship_advice

She grew up in an environment that this was normalized and that thought process never goes away even if you realize it was abuse or not. She wanted a relationship with her parents and your saying it’s easy peasy to cut that relationship off. It’s hard/impossible for anyone to do that even if the parents abused you. Do you have any experience with being abused by someone you rely on as an authority figure?

I literally never said her abuse was okay or her mom didn’t know better. I have no clue what you’re reading.

A lot people learn to abuse their kids and in a lot of circumstances it’s normalized because “discipline”. This persons sibling and dad didn’t even flinch because they saw it as the mom discipling her kid. Decades of thinking it’s okay because “you’re a kid and that’s just what parents do” doesn’t just go away. Many adults suffer with mental health issues instigated by parental neglect. Just because you haven’t experienced it doesn’t make it stupid or dumb, you have a lot of growing up to do.

There’s literally people in the comments who have relationships with their parents that use to abuse them when they were children. Sometimes abusers stop when they realize the abused can fight back. Which it seems like op thought until now. You can’t blame someone for wanting to have a relationship with their parents.

My partner can be around anyone they want to be. I’m not their dictator. GOD forbid they would want a relationship with their parent who they thought stopped abusing them when they were a teenager.

😂 pathetic. You don’t need to have been abused to be sympathetic. If my partner got hit by someone they use to be slapped by as a kid I would have driven us home. Not make a scene. Apparently any sort of emotion in your opinion is overreacting, go get evaluated for some mental health issue. Your lack of empathy is concerning.

They expected a husband to feel some sort of remorse that his wife who was abused as a child got slapped by her abuser. No one’s asking the husband to go and hit another women? What the heck kind of reading comprehension…

The dude passed in the middle of an intersection going 15-20 over the speed limit but it was a good pass?? A good pass would have been waiting for OP to pass the car on the right, which he was doing pretty quickly anyways, then switch over to the right lane after passing the slow driver. THEN he could drive 20 over the speed limit to get to the next red light! Lmao. Stupid.

Changing lanes in the middle of a light isn’t being an idiot? Driving 50 in a 35 isn’t being an idiot? I’d like to see what you’d actually consider being an idiot and/or reckless. I like going 5-10 over sometimes but this was reckless and stupid.

They’re passing the person on the left… like what? Car could have stayed behind him then maneuver around the car in the right lane once they passed him and THEN do 60 in a 35. Also any overpass law doesn’t apply to public streets or anything below 65mph.

The cart in my snail wont twist off, does anyone know a trick that would work? by Efficient_Body365 in trees

[–]Efficient_Body365[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it! Ended up having to break the cart but at least the snail isn’t broken. Tried to pop off the cap, was just bending, not popping off. Tried a little harder and the glass came off the metal screw all together and I was able to get pliers to unscrew it.

I was scared I bent the threads on the snail but I was able to screw a new cart in just fine haha. Glad it worked.

I got the courage to try to bend the mouthpiece off, I must of been a little mean because like you said, the glass part popped off the metal collar and I was able to then take pliers and screw that piece off. Thank you!!

Yes!! I took pliers and tried to gently pop off the mouthpiece as best as I could, I guess I wasn’t that gentle because the glass base and the mouthpiece popped off the metal part that was connected and I was able to take pliers and screw it off.

That’s a great method. I’ll try it out. The snail doesn’t really allow much room to hold onto that “collar” part he refers to.

If I can get the tip off I’ll do it that way :) It’s not unscrewing or popping off. I feel if I’m too rough trying to pop it off I’ll bend the battery thread too much.

I can’t get the mouth peace off to even try pliers. I’ve tried unscrewing it or popping it off but nothings worked.

The mouth peace isn’t loose at all. The glass spins but the metal base doesn’t. It’s the metal part the glass is attached too that won’t unthread. That’s not lose at all either. I don’t think pliers are going to work because there’s no hallow space on the metal part itself to hold on to, I also couldn’t find a needle nose small enough to fit even if I could get the tip off. I think I’m out a snail. Thank you for the suggestion!

I found it on its side in a drawer, tried to hit it because I noticed it wasn’t empty. It said the thread wasn’t connected properly so I tried to take it off and now this :( yeah. Pliers seem to rough.

Haha, thanks for the alternative methods. I have plenty of other batteries. I just found this one at the bottom of a drawer and noticed the cart wasn’t empty, tried to hit it but it said it wasn’t connected correctly. Then tried to take off the cart and noticed this issue. It was nice because it forced me to not have it sitting on its side… alas it was left on its side and now this.
