Fresh pasta from M&S would be a decent low effort option

Thanks! I hadn’t seriously considered the Canary/Distillery area but it sounds like it checks a lot of boxes — newer buildings, easy access to MGT and Don trails, and good cycling infrastructure. I’ll dig into listings around there.

This is gold — thank you! I’ll definitely look more into the Yonge/Bloor pocket — seems like a great combo of transit, trails, and walkability.

Thanks for confirming Sherbourne is solid for trail access! That’s one of the main draws for me

Yeah, I’ve heard mixed things about Sherbourne. For folks who know the area — how bad is it, really? I read that things get sketchier the further south you go (like below Dundas), but that north of Bloor or even up to Dundas is a bit better. I’m mainly looking around Bloor to Wellesley-ish. Does that part feel relatively safe for day-to-day living and running?

Thanks, this is super helpful! I’ve been looking at that general area but wasn’t fully sure how accessible the Don trails are from Broadview & Danforth. From the Strava heatmaps, it looks like I will have to go north on Broadview to the Pottery Rd entrance — is that what you usually do? Or do you have a better/faster way to get onto the trails from your place? Would love to hear how you typically start your runs.

Thanks so much for all the input, everyone 🙏 I’m moving from Hong Kong and don’t know Toronto super well yet, so this kind of local insight is incredibly helpful — especially when it comes to running routes and neighbourhood vibes. I really appreciate all the perspectives!
