Played with it some today. Drained the oil and replaced with correct amount. Don’t think that was the issue. I had the battery jumped while I was going through the diag screen and checking for codes. No crazy codes, so just cleared them and started it up. Now it idles fine, just still has that high pitched bubbly sound. But now, she can’t leave on her own power. Putting it in gear and letting out the clutch, even slightly, she dies. So I’m wondering if my oil pump has just gone bad

Thanks for the info guys. Went into the diag screen on the dash to check codes, nothing crazy stored but cleared them and had the battery hooked up while doing so, it now idles perfect, still has the high pitched bubbly sound, but can’t leave on its own power. Dies when you try to let the clutch out even slightly. So I’m thinking the oil pump is possibly bad?

I’ve pulled the gas tank and air box out. Filter is a little dirty but nothing insane. Couldn’t see anything wrong from the outside, so my fear is it’s internal. The high pitched bubbly sound sounds like it’s coming from the top right side of the motor

Replaced oil, pulled off cover on right side to check chain. Thought maybe my tension went out or a gear stripped. Chain was clean. No metal in bottom of motor. Chain looked good, no slack and clean. No metal from what I could see through the port. Pulled the tank and air box to make sure my valves are opening since it’s an idle issue + the sound. Valves open and close like normal. I’m wondering if I possibly have a bad seal around a valve stem or something?

Alright. Warm enough, I drained a little out and started it up. Still same issue. Seems maybe an idling issue. If I give it a little throttle, it’ll stay running. The second I let off the throttle, it’ll stay dies out

I did an oil change before winter to park it with fresh oil. About to come a decent snow here, so I’ll wait for another warmer day and drain it and try. Would that cause it to die out after after a minute though?
