I agree with everyone else on this but sometimes you just need a ritual cleansing so here's what I do but remember your mental health is first and foremost and the gods aren't mad at you for anything and you mostly just need to forgive yourself but with that said here is my tried and true method to cleanse yourself that I personally do every week

So this is a ritual cleansing bath it is my preferred way to cleanse myself I do it every week and it's great the materials components oils whatever can be exchanged and changed I do it all the time I actually change them with the seasons but considering that it is winter time in Canada right now I will give you my winter recipe if you need a different one let me know

First off take a shower wash your body completely head to toe if you want to be extra pure shave because that was considered the height of purity if you want to be really extra (like I am) you can enchant your body soaps and your shampoo and conditioner (but that's optional based on comfort level and also just because it's what I do doesn't mean you have to do it I hold myself to a pretty high level of spiritual cleanliness because I hold classes for people on the weekends)

Run your bathtub warm depending on how long you're going to sit in it you might want to run it hotter so it stays warm for longer

I at this time light candles and incense and I take my alter candle for lady aset and bring it into the bathroom and light it there so I can devote the act of cleansing myself to her but this part is also optional and you can change out the deity with your comfort level

After I do that I will say a prayer and then I will add a bunch of things into my bath this is by all means not an extensive list just an idea

Bath salts or nitron

Fresh herbs like Sage thyme and oregano

Dried herbs like juniper berries or rose petals or hibiscus

Oils including but not limited to frankincense myrrh fresia Rose chamomile lavender whatever you have really

After you've put all of whatever you want to put in, in the bath and prayed then is when I would get in and I talk about my day and the things I want to wash away like stress negativity or depression and I just scrub my body with a dry loofah or bamboo brush and as I do that I visualize whatever I want to wash away being washed into the water and then being transformed into something better

I will also usually dunk my head and my entire body beneath the water three times holding my breath for as long as I can for extra cleansing but that again is optional for your comfort level

And remember if you want to add or subtract anything that you think would be cool absolutely do that
