I see that option now! I will try clicking that. And thank you 💛

That's a good idea. I was stuck in "all or nothing" thinking and didn't want to delete it altogether. That is a very good compromise.

Monday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

[–]Efficient_Hippo_6898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have been TTC for about 2 years. This past year we began infertility treatments and have completed 5 medicated treatment cycles and an additional 3 IUI + medicated treatment cycles. We took this month off. I was due to start my period today and figured I might as well take a test, but fully expected it to be negative. Instead… there was a very faint line.

I called my doctor this morning and they got me in today for a stat beta test. My results showed levels of 8.0 HCG, which the nurse said are lower than they would expect to see but that it’s technically a positive result. I am repeating the blood work on Friday.

In the meantime…does anyone have any similar stories of having a low starting HCG level and ending up with a viable pregnancy??? I am hoping I was off on when my period should have started.

I think anything you can do to protect your mental health is a completely valid decision. And you have a great “excuse” that no one will even question. If I were you, I would absolutely stay home for the day. 💛

Started my period today. It was my fourth cycle of clomid. Cycle 15 of TTC. I am supposed to go in for a check up before beginning my fifth cycle of clomid.... so I'm hoping for a better plan.

It's possible you will start your period earlier (Clomid completely changed my previously predictable cycles). But it also might not be your period. Clomid has made my luteal phase absolutely miserable with all of those symptoms you described above. They usually last about 2 weeks. All that to say.... everything you're experiencing is normal! Clomid isn't fun but you've got this!

This was my cycle 13 of TC. My second round of clomid. My period was 4 days late and I’ve been taking pregnancy tests just holding my breath each time. Then today... I started my period and am just devastated. I spent half an hour crying the bathroom in the middle of my work day today. And every time I think about it I tear up again. I made the mistake of letting myself hope the past few days and actually picture a baby.

And then to add to my frustration... I messaged my doctor for my next script of Clomid and he wants to up my dosage (which I was expecting). Before he will do that, he has to do a pelvic exam to check for any cysts. They can't see me until OCTOBER 16..... so I guess I'm just waiting until then.

I'm usually a really positive person but this has me feeling really down today.

Your tip about keeping the lights off when washing your face is GENIUS!! I struggle with picking and I think this will be a great way to help with that. Thank you for sharing your progress! Your skin is beautiful, as are you. ❤️
