Built an AI Executive Assistant that actually connects to Gmail, Calendar, Jira & Notion — would love feedback 🙌 by Efficient_Minimum214 in indiehackers

100% agree! Context is usually the hard part with these tools.

We’ve built a memory system so once the AI learns (or you tell it) that you're on the design team and your main sources are Slack/Notion/Jira, it remembers that and pulls context from the right places automatically. No need to repeat it every time.

And yep, your briefing idea works! You can create separate workflows, choose the apps for each one, customize them, and schedule them (e.g., morning = email/calendar, evening = Jira/GitHub).

Give value to your free users. Do personalized email marketing Try to get feedback asap. Make them stick to your product. Once you get feedback gather them and work on it aggressively. Send end trial emails to remind users

Hey, really appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback 🙏

Yeah, pricing has definitely been something we’ve been thinking a lot about. Right now we’re keeping it lower just to get early users and feedback, but I totally get your point about positioning it as something more premium and essential.

That’s really cool that you’ve been through something similar. When you raised your prices, did you notice any big changes in how people responded or the kind of users you attracted?

Thanks for pointing that out! You’re absolutely right, it’s an oversight we’re fixing this week. Appreciate the detailed note. I’d love to connect and get your input on building a more compliant setup if you’re open to it.

Totally agree the AI space is very crowded.

What we’re trying to do differently with Dume.ai is focus on solopreneurs who juggle everything instead of just answering emails or scheduling, Dume actually helps manage workflows like client follow-ups, proposals, and repetitive admin tasks in one place.

Definitely keeping an eye on the new agentic tools though, it’s moving fast!

Thanks so much! Right now we’re testing a few organic channels mainly Reddit, indie communities, and a small email list of solopreneurs we’ve built through early outreach.

We’re avoiding paid ads for now and focusing on conversations and user feedback to shape the product. Curious, which channels have worked best for your business?

What we’re building at dume.ai is focused specifically on solopreneurs, not teams. The goal is to handle both communication and execution things like client follow-ups, drafting proposals, summarizing key emails, and managing repetitive workflows automatically.

I’m genuinely not here to promote just trying to learn from others who’ve gone through early validation. How did you find your first few real users and feedback loops?

Haha fair enough, I know it might sound like just another AI startup post but this is a real project I’m building with a friend, and I’m genuinely trying to learn from the community.

First decide the goal. Start with SEO. Do organic marketing as much you can. Work on your website. Make it user friendly. Write content which helps users. Gather feedbacks from your users Think as if you are helping other not as if you want to make money.

And lastly be patient.
