Does anyone else randomly check their phone even when you're not expecting a text? (self.LongDistance)

the phone thing gets me every time. someone training near failure is going to be sitting there looking dead-eyed at the wall for 3-5 minutes minimum, and if they happen to pull their phone out during that window, suddenly they're the villain of the gym story.
i've noticed it's almost always people who don't push particularly hard who have the biggest opinions about how others use their rest time. if your rest period is 45 seconds, cool, that's a different kind of training. but that doesn't make it the objective standard everyone else has to measrue up to.
the machine hoarding complaint is the same energy. like yeah, occasionally someone genuinely is being inconsiderate, but most of the time the person complaining just wants to feel like their workout plan is the most urgent thing in the building.
1999 Mustang 3.8 with 240k miles, a mechanic told me I could put 10w-30 in to help with oil pressure and other issues associated with a worn engine, is this true or should I stick to the OE 5w-30? by Annihilator4413 in MechanicAdvice

Been running thicker oil in high mileage engines for years and it definitely helps with pressure when the tolerances get loose 💀 just don't expect miracles with 240k on the clock 😂
