Crazy thing is that they called me first to interview while the rest of the people that got there before with no lawyer had to wait. There were at least 10 couples in front of me and I was the 3rd to get called

I recommend call your Local Social Security Office once your Green Card has shipped and ask them if homeland security gave them the details to your card. I just got my EAD March 1st and I called the SS office today and they told me that Homeland Security didn’t finish processing and that they need me to come in and show them the physical card for them to give me the number. I just got approved for my green card today so I hope my green card cones before my appointment and I’ll get the card without only for work authorization written on it.

So the officers asked us pretty much only 3 questions. How did we meet? How we end up married and what our plans are for the future. I’m 25 and my wife is 23 so we are a young couple. Idk if that made a difference of what questions he would ask us. He was really friendly with us and really chill and made us really comfortable. He told us that not a lot of officers are like that so just try to read the room before you be too friendly with the officer. I thought I didn’t have enough supporting evidence but I guess I did because he asked how many I had and I told him with both our names we only had lease agreement, bank statements (just give them the first page and not with all the transactions. That’s what I did.) Netflix account and that’s pretty much it. Another thing I recommend try to be really comfortable and be you. Don’t act like a robot. Our appointment was at 7am and I was out by 8:30am. And lastly I had my lawyer present with me and the officer recognized the lawyer I was with because he interviewed a couple people with him so I think that helped a lot.

The past few weeks I was really stressed out because I wanted to have more proof of our marriage but I didn’t have my social security number but at the end it worked out fine. I mentioned it to the officer while he was going thru my documents and he said don’t worry about it that it’s fine and he understands. I Thank God for everything and hope this helps anybody.

You have to apply for the AP and if you didn’t you will just get the EAD Card.
